I  this!!

The outfits are cute, but like you said, this is the best one!

Makes me wanna jump up and start singing... What time is it?...

Great job! They look awesome and so cute together in their Cars outfits (I know you didn't make them, but we don't have to announce it!!!)

I hope your dd treasures her bracelet!!!!

Thanks! She will be sooo happy! She loves her some crocs!

Me too!!!! When I have to put on tennis shoes for working out (not very often :rotfl: ), I feel like my feet are going to hyperventilate!!!!

Guess what I made... not look what I made :rotfl: I have to get discs for the camera, so I thought I'd just throw out a little teaser!!! I have made a Minnie pants/tshirt outfit for dd2, patchwork Halloween skirt for dd7, spiral skirt for dd8 (I'm not showing this one until I finish the Jasmine top that goes with... it's for CRT), That's So Raven cleavage shirt (still need to make the modesty panel), and I think that's all. Dd16 has finally agreed to let me make her something... a pillowcase!!!!! Yeah, wow huh? She has a very detailed design of her favorite band that she wants me to applique, it's going to be fun!

Today, I'm off to my mother's house so we can order her plane ticket, 7day pass and MVMCP tickets!:dance3: She's decided to jump in head first on this vacation!!! She originally planned on staying by the pool and reading every day, now she's buying a 7day pass :rotfl: . Works for me!!!

I cracky myself up!!! Sorry, TJ couldn't resist!!!

1. The Doodlebops are creepy, when they come on, my DD screams from the other room "Mom, please come turn the channel, the Doodlebops are on", they freak her out (luckily, she hasn't mastered the remote yet)

2. We started planning our DW trip last November. I started buying little shirts, shorts, capris, etc...thinking it would be so cute for our upcoming DW trip to dress in "Disney Stuff". ;)

Then in March, I came across this thread and after several pages...I thought "My DD can not wear this crap I bought from a regular store, it would be like going to prom in your P.E. outfit": :scared1: (can we say crap? )

So, my mission began to find "better outfits" to wear to DW :lmao: I wish it could have ended there, but it has ventured out: A Bow for EVERY piece of clothing we own, First Day of School, Birthday Outfit, Halloween Dress and Costume, Christmas Outfits...the list goes on.

3. Thanks for all the great compliments!

P.S. I was updating our itenerary yesterday and was printing it, my DH picked it up and was like..."Are you mental"...our itenerary lists the days, what parks we are visiting, the ADR #'s and what outfits the kids are wearing. example MGM-kids wearing Cars outfits, MK-DD Cinderella Dress, etc...He thinks I have lost my mind. Sorry for such a long post!

Hello all!

We made it back from a great trip to the World! We are all a little tired and wiped out!

Got lots of great comments on our costumes for MNSSHP. I will have to go into detail later about it!

Off to help try to unpack all the stuff!

Good morning all! I would like to find a place online where I can purchase personalized labels to sew into my handmades. Something like "sewn with love by..." I can't seem to find any. Do you guys have any tips??

How hard is it to learn how to crochet? If you don't have any body to teach you how can you learn?

My Aunt tried to teach me when I was a child, but she gave up. She lives to far away to teach me now.

Hi Everyone - All the new outfits look so great!!! Love the fabrics you have all found!!!

HELP WITH RUFFLER!!!
Okay - so DH got the ruffler attached and it works BUT when I try to sew the 2 layers of the twirl skirt together, I am left over with a bunch of the 2nd layer - what am I doing wrong? Is it the adjustments? does anyone have a suggestion for the setting? THanks so much!! Wendy

I find it much easier, and I get a prettier outfit, if I just ruffle first and then attach later. I really like the idea the doing both at the same time, but I'd ended up w/ not enough ruffle before and uneven ruffles too, so doing them seperately has worked out better so far. I change my settings depending on how much ruffle I want. Mine has a star, a 1, a 6, and a 12. So you can either do no ruffle, one ever stitch (super ruffle), one every 6th stitch (medium ruffle), or one every 12th stitch (more of a gather). Then I have a depth adjustment, 1-8 I think, the bigger the # the deeped the pleat, so the bigger ruffle as well. I just sat and played w/ mine after I got to kind of figure out what I wanted. I usually use the 6 setting w/ like a 4 deep for normal things and the 1 setting w/ 4 deep for the YCMT type skirt w/ ruffle bottom.

Ok I scoured the net until lateeeeee last night and of course the kids got up early, but I did find a jumper dress on :wizard: But it doesn't end for 3 days- and was I hoping to get going asasp now that I have FINALLY made a decision. I did put a bid in -it was only .99. But I'm still got my eye out for something better.

I have seen these in Joann's store here in Pensacola. So I would assume they would have them online as well:confused3 Sorry, not much help was I?

I was in the same boat. My grandmother tried to teach me when I was a kid & I lost interest. I found a good site online that explains most of the stitches & you can find free patterns online to practice with. I've made several balnkets, scarves booties & even a baby sweater now so I'd say you can teach yourself. ;)

Here's the site I used.

See, look, I started a trend!!! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

When I was little, the "grown up" kids (they were probably 10 or 12!)in our neighborhood always called me TJ. I thought it was so cool! :hippie:

I LIKE that girl!!!! Lydia loves the Doodlebops and LazyTown, but we only have rabbit ears, so she only watches them at my Mom's house.

I have used http://www.label-land.com/ for the things I sell. It's probably not as fancy as you are looking for though. I know when I was looking, I found a lot of different sites that sold them. i think I did a search for custom labels, or something like that!

I haven't ordered from this site, but I've looked at it a few times. They have a little more "design" to them: http://www.labelyourstuff.com/ironon2.htm

I know I've seen the "made with love by..." labels online too.

They have these at Hancock's. You can also order them online.

I finally got Parker's Halloween skirt finished. This project turned into a whole week, when it should have only taken me a day but oh well!

Here's the pics:

So cute! I love it. I think my next project will be minnie dot stripwork twirl skirts for DDs.

This is how I did my tutu-

I used the rolls of tulle ( mine were from Hobby Lobby) and cut them into 6 in long strips. I sewed the ends of the elastic together to make the waist and then I tied them on to the elastic by making a loop and pulling the ends through- so it isn't "tied" persay but it worked pretty well. My elastic kind of stretched as I was going- but I tried another and didnt pull them so tight and it worked better. I used 25 yards on the short one I did for Laila.

I don't think crocheting is difficult at all. I bought a small booklet years ago on "how to crochet" and I have seen similar ones in yarn departments. It shows you all of the crochet stiches and is really simple. Plus, if you drop a stitch, you won't ruin your project like with knitting.

I say give it a try - it's really not hard.
