I have finished my second custom sample. I really like it and thought I would share with everyone. It was a hit with DD to say the least.

Of course She is beautiful! We don't see enough of her! Cute shirt! I'm loving the carriage ideas lately!
I agree, Pocahontas is definitely a princess!
Teresa and Leann, I am so sorry for your losses. No mere words can express the sorrow of losing a child. Love to all of our babies!
Teresa and Leann you guys made me ball my eyes out! I can't even imagine the pain, but I think it is wonderful that you are comfortable sharing. For all of those out there who have lost a little one, my thoughts are with you.
I really enjoy watching the progress of your little one with your ticker. I just love babies, and I am so excited for you!
Thank you! It's been fun so far. Since this is number 4 I've already started the gut! DH is going to be quite surprised when he gets home in three weeks. When he left I was barely pregnant and now I'm clearly knocked upI'm just happy I stopped throwing up every day. I'm in that good stage where you're not sick and not huge. I could hang out here for a while. Oops, pizza's done - time to pig out

Anyone know a good source for Michael Miller fabric? I'm looking for Christmas fabric. Thanks!
Leann, I just read your website. What can I say? I am so sorry, Isabella Rose was so beautiful. Thank you for sharing this with us.You expressed your feelings beautifully.
I actually had some time to sew today. I thought I would do something sort of simple, but then I had to go and try something new - metallic thread. It seems the gold is just layered onto a yellow thread, and the machine kept separating it and it turned into just rethreading the machine several dozen times. My machine is like a 1950-something singer, maybe that's the problem??
Anyway, here is what I got finished. No model tonight, way past her bedtime.
Does this resemble a santa-type hat? I thought about putting little gold jingle bell on the hat, so maybe it will look like a hat more. I'm also planning on maybe gold rick rack at the bottom to tie in the gold on the shirt.

Thanks for looking!!!![]()
I usually start with quiltshops.com. You can put in a search, like "miller christmas" and it will search 200+ shops. Some are better than others about how they've listed the fabric so sometimes you'll have to try a few searches with different keywords to find most places that carry the fabric. If you know a specific print or collection you're looking for, you can try those names but again not all stores use the manufacturer's print names. I really like to do this kind of search because I can more easily compare prices. I will say that some stores are better than others about keeping shipping as low as possible as well as shipping quickly.
Just to let you all losers know. . . I was way to cool for the prom. So DH and I did not go. Don't you worry he still enjoyed the after prom activities.
I had (HAVE actually he is 30!!!) a horse, a thoroughbred. Lovely chestnut with bold whited stripe on his face. He was my savior in H.S. I was one of those very popular girls, who secretly had a horendous life. i think they've made teen movies with that theme. Anyway his name is Tide Turner (retired racehorse) I called him Sunshine. Since I was preggers with number 1 son (16 years ago now) he has just been a "barn buddy" and loving retired life. He is a kind a gentle soul, the exact opposite of the stereotypical thoroughbred.
I was having trouble adjusting to having a girl. Silly really, but I kept saying, "what will I do with a girl? I am not girly. I so wanted a third son." Well about 2 weeks after finding out it was a girl (still early pregnancy) I sat up on the couch and said, "Oh my God she can have a pony." It's been wonderful ever since. I guess I was just a little panicked at having a girl. We had the two living boys, lost one son after having DS #2, so I just knew we were having a boy. I mean come on after 3 boys, who wouldn't think I was preggers with a boy???
Sorry so off topic, but to bring it back on, you should see all of the HORSE themed customs I have for DD!!! Oh yeah gymbo horse stuff too...does that help??
That definitely looks like a Santa hat to me. Not that I'm any expert in that regard though! But, I knew right away what it was.
Is tha an Eeyore table you have? I LOVE Eeyore!
I can relate...I always wanted boys. Our first kiddos (twins) were boys but they only survived a couple days.(their 8th bday is next week - I still have one friend who calls me every year!I love her.) I was terrified I would never have another son but thankfully we did one year later! Then we had another son shortly thereafter. When I was pregnant this last time I was certain I was having a boy (after 4 you just think your meant to have all boys) and was shocked when I found out it was a girl...It took me a bit too adjust to the idea. I was use to the choas and energy of boys plus I had all their stuff to hand down. Now I'm so greatful for my daughter and I'm loving all the girly stuff!!!
Ah, a toy box! I thought it looked a little skinny to be a table! No, it's the top of a toy box that has a classic pooh scene painted on it. We got it when our 6 year old was born. I had to take pics in the playroom tonight so that the light wouldn't wake the baby - every little thing seems to disturb her.![]()
