:teacher: I need the idiot's guide to blinging shirts with crystals!!!!!:teacher:

What size crystals? Swarovski or other? Hot fix or any?

What tool are you guys talking about? Bedazzler or something else?

Is there some sort of glue you have to buy? E6000, something special, or other?

I've got some ideas but am a total clueless idiot when it comes to this!

I bought the paper that hotfix queen sells... it worked out great. I had printed out my design, put it on a clipboard.. layed the paper on top and stuck the stones to it.

You than turn the paper over.. lay it on on your shirt and iron it.

You do have to print your design backwards since you are laying them out shinny side down.

I used size 16 and not the swarski.. I used I believe 400-500 on each of the shirts I made.

I made mickey head bling tees using both the iron on and gluing them on with GEM-TAC glue they sell at craft stores. I just used the least expensive crystals in a medium size I could fine. In my opinion, it's a kid's t-shirt so I just wanted something that sparkled but didn't break my wallet. I used an outline of Mickeys head on the t-shirt, used tweezers to pick up the crystal, applied the glue and set it on the t-shirt. I haven't had a problem with them falling off. If you're going to do a lot of blinging a special tool might be better but tweezers and glue worked just fine for me.

I have finished my second custom sample. I really like it and thought I would share with everyone. It was a hit with DD to say the least.

Back to Blue Cinderella- funny knock on wood- I am not in Satin H*ll. I think I just jinxed myself.:rotfl:

Here are the two outfits that I shared earlier, but I now have a model that wanted to participate. Could it be that she is either ready to leave soon, or that I threatened her with her life if she didn't cooperate! J/K!;)

My oldest DD is a huge Pocahontas fan!!! Of course she needed a Pocahontas dress and she insisted on one for her little sister too. My MIL happened to have the fabric and the sewing skills - I did the beads. One of these days maybe I'll be able to whip up something as nice as all of you - until then I'll stick to the simple stuff.

That is gorgeous! Megan hopped over to admire it and I said, that's Hannah. I know Mom! I'm surprised she hasn't asked for a playdate with all her internet friends! Good luck with your satin!

Wow, your MIL did a terrific job! Pocahontas looks so impressed!

Thank you ladies. You gave me the exact details I needed :cool1: I am ordering some 16's of the cheaper ones and getting some glue at Joann's and we'll see if I can put them on with tweezers. If that goes okay I may then upgrade to paper or the tools. Thank you again!! :grouphug:

Thanks for the sentiments about my son! Not a day goes by when I do not think about him. It was 5 years in August. Time flys, and also goes so slowly...if you know what I mean.

((HUGS)) mama, I lost my 3rd child, a daughter. Her name is Isabella Rose..her 6th birthday is coming in December. I know what you mean about time passing..slow & fast at the same time. www.ourisabellarose.com is her story.
My next child was a boy & it took adjusting too since I so wanted another girl. (My first 2 were boys also) so I know that feeling too.

Odd question of the day: Is Pocahontas a princess?

I went to put the pocahontas outfit into the photos link and realized I didn't know whether to put her into the princesses category or in the all other categories. SO I defer to the experts: where does Pocahontas belong? :confused3

I love those!! Your daughters look adorable!! I love pictures of the outfits at the parks!

And, I haven't posted anything in awhile, so I thought I'd post this shirt I decorated for Lydia. I did it awhile ago, but she just wore it today, because I wasn't sure how long it took for the gold stuff to dry!

It was originally one of the flour and paint shirts , well, I didn't actually use water, I used glue. But, you couldn't see the carriage as well as I wanted, so I found this liquid bead stuff at Joanns on clearance for .40, so I bought that to spiff it up a bit. Then I sprayed it with more dye. I'm worried about how it will wash, but I only spent about $1.00 on the whole thing, so I'm not too worried!

She's got messy hair and wrinkled shirt, but honestly, I still think she's adorable! :lmao:

Doing something weird with her shirt:

And a close up, even though this lets you see that I didn't do such a good job!

Leann, I just read your website. What can I say? I am so sorry, Isabella Rose was so beautiful. Thank you for sharing this with us. You expressed your feelings beautifully.

Heather mentioned it earlier, but if you click on the pictures of the babies in my signature, it takes you to my webpage with my babies stories.

Defintely Princess! She was the chief's daughter, that like an Indian princess.

if you use the hot fix crystals you do not need the glue...they have glue on the back that when it is heated sticks them to the shirt...I have used them on gymnastics leos and washes on cold inside out and none have ever come off.....

yep.... and that paper hotfixqueen has is much cheaper than glue.

princessloversmom,

I was thinking about doing the same thing today lol... my 3yo had her first tap class. I will have add some bling for next week. What designs did you do on yours?

I have had several questions about the cinderella crystal shirt...so for anyone else who might want to know I used 2 size crystals 20SS and 16SS and all together used 164 crystals

I have done some swirls...some snowflake like things and some fleur de lis type things...our gymnastics team is going to bling up some new velour warm ups in a few weeks and have a mom party planned to do it in an assembly line like fashion !!!
