ok, so Josephine had a cute little dress made out of this pooh fabric from 2006 easter. well it did not fit anymore! So I re-worked it, tore the skirt apart and just made a stripwork jumper out of the panels! My hubby says it is boring looking. it is a little I think, but that is the color of the fabric! Anyways, it was nice to re-use the fabric into something now. this is dress length now and she will get to wear it for a little while longer.

Oh I tought about lining the teeth with sequins? Any thoughts, I thought at least the one on the bodice?
I think it is fabulous and lining the bodice teeth w/ sequins are a great idea!

And because I love you all so much, either that or I must be drunk!!!!
Two days before my DS was born and the last time that I wore a bikini!!!:lmao:

you look amazing and you are officially the bravest woman I have ever met!

I'm about to go to Wal Mart. Can you take a close up pic of the fabric? If they have it, I'd be happy to pick it up.

Oh thank you!! I don't have a piece of the brown left. So, here's a closeup of the brown that I used in Cinderella's shirt. The brown fabric I need is just like this orange fabric in the rest of the picture, but it's dark brown. Our WalMart had it with the Fall type fabrics. I'd probably only need 1/2 yard to finish the dress. Just let me know if you find it!!

I am near 2 Wal-Marts, one was out of much of the fall stuff, the other one is a pretty new Super Wal Mart that just put in a fabric department a few weeks ago. They don't have much but they did have a bunch of fall stuff. This is the store that last week still had a full bolt of the pumpkin fabric. I don't think people have figured out it's there yet (either that or they can't find anyone to cut fabric so no one buys any). I'll check tomorrow and if they have it and you don't need it by then, I can always find a use for sparkly brown fabric!

Ok everyone is sharing dogs, well here is our Licorice!! She does not like our scrappy! She is grumpy and old

And this one because I thought it was too cute! Her sister thought she needed a crown for her photo shoot!
th_crtsarahwcrown.jpg

Wow! Jasmine turned out great! Awesome job! I love the pic of little sister "crowning" big sister, too! So cute!

th_100_1901.jpg

Too cute! How nice that she's going to wear it to cheer for her brother! What a sweetie!

Love this! How creative! I think some sequins or bling (maybe some of those iron-on crystals?) would look good around the tooth on the bodice, but it looks fantastic either way!!

awww, Thanks! :flower3:
Sorry about dropping out on the thread for a little while ...

I got busy with halloween outfits. + I wasn't feeling well for quite awhile.
Then, about 4wks ago, I was in the hospital for 2 days & a night = a "suspected minor cardiac infarction" ... nice, huh?!

We still don't know what caused it.
One morning after putting my 5yr old the bus, I SUDDENLY felt super-yicky, started passing in&out, left shoulder/arm hurt, I went NUMB all over, had troubles breathing, etc ... This had never happened to me before.
10 minutes later, I kept getting worse = so, I went to go to the ER.
As I was trying to get there, I fell down 1/2 a flight of stairs & fell out of the car. I was really weak & numb = I couldn't control my body/legs.

At the ER, we found out my BP was at 40/30 & 50/30! (usually I have HIGH Blood Pressure, we keep it well regulated, though)

Basically, my body was going into SHOCK ...
ekg's were off, but enzyme tests came back fine. (that's good!)
+ it was not a panic attack & I didn't double my HBP meds.
blood sugar was a tad high & iron was a tad low ...
neither really explained all of this mess!
They shipped me to the cardiac ward for observation.
Thankfully, the "incident" did not repeat!
Even as I left as an outpatient, they didn't know much more, but scheduled a ton of tests, for later.
Hopefully, we'll figure it out soon! :)!

I'm only 37 ... with NO intentions of leaving my babes without a mommy, NOR setting a new family record for youngest heart attack/death.

I still feel a bit yicky 24-7 ... + I can't even think of being more active = standing, walking makes me feel worse.
I am just taking everything ALOT EASIER/SLOWER now!
I hate it, but have no choice ... for now.

Sooooooooo ...
MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE TO HUG & SMOOCH YOUR LITTLE ONES, ALL THE TIME!
& Take Care of Yourselves!

Glad to see you posting again! Sounds like you've had it tough for a while - hope you're feeling better soon!

Well I have some prego pics to post, I haven't dug out my wedding pics yet,
because that means I need to scan them and then upload...not today!
I am too lazy!!! Ok these pics are from last summer when my DS was born.

A week and a half before I had my DS.

Here is my hospital pic, only a few minutes after my 9 pounder was born
(and I was induced almost 2 weeks early because my middle child was 9lb8oz!!!)

Let me just say that if I were this cute pregnant, I woulda been wearin' a bikini, too! You look great! Even right after delivery! No fair! Is there a smiley with its tongue stickin out?

I don't think it's boring at all! I think it is very cute and sweet! And how awesome that it's "recycled"!

I'm kinda late in the game here (when am I not?) but if no one finds it, let me know and I'd be happy to look for you! We have a WM pretty close.

We went to the pumpkin patch today and had a ton of fun! But is was SO windy! I think DD about blew away! I'll have to get the pics uploaded here shortly and post them. I think my family wants to be fed or something. Sheesh!

That is so cute!!! What a clever idea! I was hoping though, that there was some new Pooh fabric out there that I had not seen yet!

Loving all the pet photos! We lost our Ddog Max and our Dcat Charlotte all in the last year. (And Hermie our D?Hermit crab) Now we are down to 3 fish, a hamster and a lonely hermit crab Squirmie. It seems a little odd. Good thing I have 4 kids to keep things crazy! I'm thinking we'll probably get another dog in the next year. The kids want one so badly.

I wish I had bought more of this years ago. My mom had bought it around 2005 ish so I think it will not be easily found. but I am hoping to go through her stash and find some!

Since I know you're in the KC area I just had to laugh because we also went to the pumpkin patch today and got blown around. We tried to take some B/W family photos outside but our hair was blowing everywhere. We did get a few cute ones though. I think I'll wait on the professional ones though because my almost 4 y/o couldn't get the smile thing down.
Hope you got some good pumpkins.

It's not just male schnauzers that are hard to train!!! We have a female schnauzer who wasn't what I would call housetrained until she was over a year old. She JUST stopped chewing everything she sees and she's 2 1/2 years old. We had to crate her every time we left or she'd chew up all the kids toys. Now she's actually a really good dog, but a little weird. Ah heck, here's some pics of her when she was a puppy. This is Josie, or Josie Grossy as we tend to call her:

Hi - my dog Zoey is a Schnoodle - part schnauzer/part poodle (we have been told lol) we got her from the SPCA after she had been abandoned on the street. She was in terrible shape when we got her - but has been very healthy and so happy since!! We love her!!!:yay:

Finally my brain kicked in and I figured out how to convert these 3 wedding photos that I had scanned. This was in 1991, DH and I were both 22. I (my
mom) paid a lady to make my dress (copy it from a picture in a magazine) We bought the fabric and she only charged us $100 to make it, which included hand-stitching 11 yards of lace around the hem. In hindsight I wish the veil wasn't so poufy!

This is my favorite photo. I am signing the wedding certificate or whatever it is. Check out DHs hand, getting used to the new ring! The guy in the middle is the guy who married us, the guy on the right is my dad.

Is she related to my husband? Ha ha, just kidding!

I love the repurposed Pooh dress. I don't think it's boring at all!

That looks like the Don Cesar hotel! I went to Eckerd College just down the street! We used to go down there and study in their hot tub. I also ran into John Schneider at the pool when we stayed there once as a child. (Back when the Dukes of Hazard were cool for the first time, LOL!)

HELP!!
I REALLY hope someone can help me here! I ran out of the dark brown sparkly fabric I used to make the ruffles on this bodice:
Cinderelladresbodice.jpg

I still need to make a really long ruffle all around the bottom of the skirt. So, I went to all 3 of our local WalMarts and NO ONE has the brown sparkly fabric left!!! Does anyone on here happen to have 1/2- 1 yard of this fabric that they would sell to me? Please!!
DARN!! And I just came back from our only Walmart in the area that still has a fabric department. If no one comes up with any, I'll take the trip down there for you!

that is a great picture. my hubby was so confused as to what was going on in the ceremony he kept trying to put the ring on my right hand.

thanks for the comments, I told my hubby that my sewing buddies do not think it is boring. he just looked at me. hmmmm

hehe licorice seems to be related to my hubby today also! grumpasaurus!

Hey everyone!!! I went on an adventure today to the southside of St. Petersburg to the Super Walmart down there. Rumor had it, that it still had a fabric department! Well, sure enough, it did!!!

AND, they had yards and yards of the red/white minnie dot fabric for $2/yard. If anyone needs any, and their Walmarts don't have any, send me a PM, and I can send it to you for cost + shipping to you!
