Okay,

The photos do not do this justice!! I think it will look much better on. I still have to do the zipper. My Mommy's going to help me tomorrow. I will pin the hem when DD gets home.

I also have trim for the bottom. It is the same ribbon as the sleeves but wider. I think the sleeves turned out really nice! I love the lining. I still cannot find the missing sleeve. The gather ribbon channels are my favorite part. I think that this was not the best project to learn how to use my serger but the serger was great because of the type of fabric.

I will say you have not lived until you "seam ripped" confetti dot, glitter whatever, and satin lining all together!

Aimee, it looks beautiful. I hope for your daughter's sake it isn't as hot as they are still calling for, at least the back side of faire is shady. As long as you stay clear of the jousting field (which us diehards refer to as the Serengheti) you all should be okay.

Emjoy faire this weekend. I hope she wins the costume contest!

All I can do is beg you to accept me for who I am. Yes, I hate Harry Potter! I would not read it if someone paid me. (I did see the first movie and I know it is not the same.) :rotfl2:

I guess I should just get it off my chest - I do not like Harry Potter, Star Wars, Star Trek, Midevil times, or okay wait for it American Idol!

Please let me still be your friend. I know I am not the only one!:flower3: :flower3: :flower3:

Oh, you went too far, sister... you have crossed the line!!!
Just kidding, I think I can still be your friend. :hippie:

Nope that is it! We are NOT friends!!!! I am okay with all that you said, but I'm sorry, YOU DON'T LIKE STAR WARS???? That is like not liking Disney in my opinion! Just ask my kids who was the crazy person who got them up at 11:45pm to see the 12:15 am show of the VERY last Star Wars EVER. They were the only kids in their school of 600 to go (I guess some people think being awake for school is more important than Star Wars??) We were on the radio and everything. I took pictures too. Yep S.W. geek!! Guess what my dogs name was growing up...Chewbacca!! And to tink I've never been to Disney at Star Wars time! My two favorite things. Sigh

AMEN!!! Right there with ya!

Aimee, I just noticed the gold trim around the waist. I bought something very simular for a navy outfit I am having made for my daughter. You are right, we must be pretty simular as well as our DD's. Here is a picture of what I bought, the braid is at the bottom.

Wow! That is beautiful. I guess we could win you over with talent like that. After all.... you don't know the power of the dark side...

Are any of the Sept. folks going to MNSSHP on the 21st?

We'll be there that night. I still have no idea what the kid is wearing that night but we'll figure it out, I've got 4 weeks. :)

Thanks! I hope it is not as hot as the weather guys say! I am holding out for a nice day:rotfl:

What is the costume contest?

You can see how much we have gone.

I wonder if that is for the Navy outfit I am thinking of from:wizard:

I think it is the same trim just a different shade.

Hello everyone!

DD starts her first day of kindergarten tomorrow!:sad1:
My princess is growing up!

Since I haven't had time to work on a proper BTS outfit, I took some RTW items and embellished them.

Here is what I came up with!

Easy... and it only took me about 2 hours to do! Complete with hair bow!;)

All it needs is a zipper. That will be for tomorrow.

Please excuse DD hair. She just rode 30 minutes with DH in his convertible Jeep! The last photo is my fav because you can see the sleeves and my DD said No more pictures Mommy!

She looks so cute in that! I thought it was pretty on the hanger, but it looks even better on.

I love the pants. Aww first day of K, I am already dreading that day and mine is only 2. RTW, tsk tsk what will all the other fathers think! ;)

Oooo check out this site it looks like it has a bunch of different designers on it.

I just saw they have a boys dog outfit, the shirt has a dog and the pants are a newsprint material. LOL LOL That is brilliant!
Hopefully that is ok to post, we are allowed to post stores right??

Thanks!

I love the combo of pink polka dots and black ric rac. My DD starts Pre school on Tuesday! She has never been to daycare so this a really big deal. I am working on a Sock Monkey dress for her. All of sudden the "gown" came up!

2 hours? It doesn't take me 2 hours to do anything! Well, maybe 2 hours to pick out fabric! The outfit looks great!

Well, I attempted some hair bows. I call them ugly and uglier. Seriously, I can't figure out why I am so bad at this. I even bought the thing at Michael's that UtahMomma said would help. I guess I am just ribbon-challenged.

I'm sorry I didn't comment on the Harry Potter debate. I know this is unusual, but I could take or leave all of them. I saw all of the Star Wars growing up but haven't made time to watch the new ones. I read and watched the first Harry Potter with Jacob, but he said they were too scary and he didn't want to read the next one and I have no burning desire to read or watch further. I did like Space Balls, but really preferred Airplane! So does that mean no one will be my friend? :scared:

This week tired me out, so I am going to bed early, so good-night!

Airplane is my brother's fav movie! He will be your friend!

I had a similar problem with my bows. It helps if you start with a really wide ribbon 1 3/4 or 2 inches. It gives it some structure. As soon as I did that my bows turned out better. Mine did! I love the combo of colors you picked for Tink! I bought those bottle caps and now I have ideas! Thanks

2hrs in a fabric store?!? :scared1: Yikes, I get sweaty palms and my heart races after about 15 mins. in there! I usually have something in mind, go right to it, have it cut, and am out the door!
I think your bows turned out great! Don't be so hard on yourself!
I sometimes think that what I make is ugly or not "good" enough.
But, whatever I put on my pretty little girl always looks cute!
She could make a burlap sack, cinched up with baling twine look good!;)
I am sure that you will feel the same way once you put them in your DD's hair!
