Hi everyone,
I have been doing some sewing today. I have to make a Spongebob, and a Bratz outfit for my professor's grand-daughters. This is the Bratz, it's done except for the bling I'm going to add to the top, just a few sparklies here and there.

okay i am putting in my order for my spongebob outfit for me;) i love spongie man.. lol
i love your bratz outfits too cute.

everyone else posting outfits :way to freakin cute i love them all you are all sew talented.

I found a quaint quilt shop with the most sumptuous fabrics! I wish you could feel these I picked out. Like a sateen, or a really high thread count sheet...very nice. They were 8.99-11.99 a yard so I only got exactly what I needed to do a couple pillowcase dresses. The ribbon I chose also has a vintage look to it in a cream color.

Oh, they don't look that special in these pictures. Pooh!
okay i felt these and they are awesome i love them... but she is right the pictures just don't do them justice, we need a virtual feel the fabric smilie button:wizard:

UMama- didn't I tell you that you folks out there in Utah have the BEST fabric places around?!?!?! I plan on making a special trip out there just for the fabric (and MAYBE I'll visit my DD at the same time ;-) )

I LOVE the brown and pink combo! Use to be that I hated that color combo, but there is something about it that I am really appreciating in my old age.

On a side note..... my DH did the budget today. Let's just say we were a little over. No.... there was no drama on his part, well, not that I saw anyway! He probably cried some in private, but overall- he took it like a man. Now, that might have been a BIG mistake on his part because I was feeling a tad bit guilty about all the money I've spent on fabric this past month...... But HEY!!! If he's not gonna say anything then.... HECK!!! I may as well keep up the fabric stashing while the stashing is good!!!

Anyone with me on this one???

UM - Just one DVD???? :confused3 My kids watched TV all day today  Hey dont look shocked :scared1: We have been busy all week and this was a down day! ;)
I love your new fabric...very vintage and classy! I can't wait to see what you do with them! :thumbsup2
Hopefully I will have my two dresses up tomorrow!

My only goal in life is to have a table that is stacked to the ceiling with fabrics I love, but don't know what to do with!!! LisaZoe is my fabric idol! :worship: After all- shouldn't all good parents leave something behind for their children when they leave this earth?

I have a daughter that lives in Provo- are you from Utah?

This is the Tinkerbell that I was working on. It will be a panel added into a skirt, after it's finished. I wanted to get the face done first. Thanks to all that helped with the links to the embroidery sites.

Wow Castle....really great job on Tink's face....was it hard to do? I spent a while one night watching all the embroidery videos and it looked easy once you see the stitches. I am just learning how to applique. I will post when I finish.

I have family in Provo and Yes i am in utah. i am Utahmama's Best Friend in real Life . Is she in College?

Well- she's not in school down there- she graduated last spring from BYU, but her DH is still in school and attending BYU. They are expecting their first little kiddle (my 1st grandbaby!!!!!) in January.... thus my stock up on Disney fabric and such! I have plans for spoiling this baby- and NO ONE can thwart them!!!

Actually- my DD and I are going to be at WDW the same time Utahmama is going. There's a good chance they may end up on the same flight to and from the resorts! How fun is that?

Utahmama- ahve you found your flights yet for September??

I LOVE the pink and brown!!! That is my favorite color combo!!!

OK, everyone sit down, I actually sewed today! Now, get the shocked look off of your face and see what I did. Now keep in mind I haven't sewn since Junior High and that was __ number of years ago! (Oh, my gosh, that is too scary to count! )
The inseam is just pinned because I couldn't decide on ric rac or no ric rac. I am a ric rac kind of girl and I add it to everything, so I wanted some other opinions. (Besides my husband's, who when I showed him the jeans, he said, "is that what you want them to look like, or are you going to do something else to them?") What does he know!!

This looks AWESOME! I Love them! My vote is FOR ric rac. Great job!

It wasn't hard, but it wasn't the easiest thing to do. I did learn one thing. For some reason the last one I did, I outlined the eyes, nose, and mouth with black, and added black eyelashes. It looked okay, but Tink came out much better. I wish I would have worked more on that today, but I made a skirt for my dd for animal kingdom, finished jeans to go with the kids of the world outfit and a couple of other things...

I'm sure it can't be more than 10 years. :) If it helps, I started sewing when I was about 10 (maybe a little older) and have been sewing for 30+ years... go ahead, do the math. :rotfl:

Great Job! I was just thinking instead of the ricrac above the hem, it might look cute to have it overlap the hem so the bottom of the jeans have the wavy edge. Now you know you're going to do a patchwork Minnie head tee to go with those. ;)

OH, HUSBANDS!! Really, what do they know about this sort of thing??? Ok, besides Tom that is! I think these look great! I like the ric rac, and I think Lisa's idea about putting it at the bottom would be really cute. Great job!!!

Ok, FESS UP!!!! Who bought the entire bolt of the sheer red dot fabric at Walmart on Shaver road??????? HMMMM???? :confused3 My sister just called to see if I had bought it. She said some other dot fabric was all gone too, all evidence points to a Diser! Show yourself! :rotfl2: :lmao:

:rolleyes1 Guilty..... I bought the whole bolt but it was here in Orlando. It is CHEAPER for me to go to Disney than fabric shopping. Who knew you don't have time to sew if you go to the Magic Kingdom everyday :confused3. But DD did get lots of comments on her Minnie outfit I made last night (because I have not finished the Woody dress.... ) I have to make something for her to wear tomorrow.

Now y'all have me looking at FABRIC!!! My step daughter was with me and she said "Are we here just to look at pictures of Mickey?!" Yes... :lmao: She sure has my number!!!

There was TONS of Disney fabric at the WallyWorld I went to. There was a huge bolt of the minnie dot fabric, lots of the pink with black Mickey's, Christmas Mickey (and Peanuts!!!)...the blue and white Pooh stuff...ummm...Nemo, two different prints...just lots. I thought of all y'all and wished I could send it!!! I also wished wished I could sew. I said as much to my step daughter and do y'all know what she said to me "Well...faith and pixie dust right?" :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

out of the mouths of babes!!!
