Yup Im in Orlando - Well I live in Kissimmee and Work in Downtown...

Maybe we will cross paths at some point. I live just outside Orlando and spend a lot of time in the theme parks. (We have even been known to visit Sea World-yikes am I allowed to say that on this board :lmao: )

anyone notice we are OVER 10,000 posts (scrapnmom was # 10,000) she should get a free raffle ticket to somethin for that.....

yeah for us:cheer2: :dance3: :cheer2: :cool1:

I got my diaper/wipes cover done. Now I feel a little better after my earlier fiasco. ;)

Cute! I wish I'd seen something like that when DD was in diapers. I'm definitely keeping the idea for shower gifts, though. :) My question for you is how did you sew on the hook & loop tape? I always seem to have my thread break, bunch or just can't seem to get my machine to work with it and sewing by hand is not something I do if I can avoid it. :rolleyes1

I enjoy making Disney themed sets.I will try to post some photos here once I am allowed to. I keep getting an error message while trying to post my photos that I need to post more.
Angela

:welcome: Angela!!!!

Simplicity patterns go on sale tomorrow morning at Jo Ann's. Limit 10!

Is there an ad that I can print to take to Walmart? The nearest Joanns is over an hour away and I don't want to drive if I don't have to.

hkite! you are evil! I am NOT allowed to go to that site. I went this past weekend and put a bunch of stuff in my shopping cart and then closed the window.
Heh.
That way I get to pretend like I ordered it.

That's exactly what I do!!!!!

Cute, Cute, Cute!!!!

Ok now two questions:

1 - I've started to applique and need to know if I need stabilizer with denim? the capris are new (been washed once) so they are pretty sturdy.

2 - For those of you making the diaper/wipes cover - after you stitch the velcro onto the flap of the lining, which side becomes the "right" side? I attempted this last night and messed it all up! I guess that's what I get for starting a new project at 12am and a pile of unfinished projects!!!

:thanks:

Someone (daisyduckrn maybe?) about the crystal tees - I'm not sure if this is what you were talking about?

I made this one - I just guessed on where to put the stones. I printed out a mickey head on a piece of paper, glued it to a piece of cardboard and cut out. I put double stick tape on the back of the shape and then stuck it where I wanted on the shirt and then placed the rhinestones around the shape and set them. I used a heat set toll (bejeweller) and not an iron. I've not washed it yet, so I can't answer how it will old up (I'm hoping it will be fine!) Hope this helps!

I love it! Great idea to add the strap.

OK, I think that is the answer I was looking for. I have the ruffler foot, so I ruffle the longest tier, and then sew it onto the next shorter tier. That makes sense! Sorry I guess I didn't ask the question the right way.

If I make a ruffle on the bottom of a skirt, do I need to use one continuous piece of fabric? I think the answer is yes, but I want to make sure. Thanks for everyone's help!

THis ruffle at the bottom is actually four pieces of fabric sewed end to end. THen I hemmed it and then I gathered it using two rows of basting stitches and I pulled the threads up until it was the right length.

I grew up in Ashwaubenon-right next to De Pere. We now live north of town in Suamico. Maybe we need to plan one of those fabric shopping meets they did in MI??
Here's my latest finished projects for my DN. They are not Disney, but practice for. It's my first strip skirt and embellished jeans.

These are really cute. My niece would love that Dora outfit. I like the fact that you used a turtle neck. Great idea to make a fall outfit.

Hooray Goody Goody I got mail today !:dance3: pixiedust: I love getting mail now. :cloud9:

I am going to order one for DD21 as well once she has a look at these and decides she wants one. I'm going to get a family picture in front of CInderella's Castle with us in the t-shirts and the girls in their Minnie overalls and use it as our Xmas Card pic this year.

These are adorable! Can't wait to see a photo. It will be an adorable Christmas Card. I love the Gray hair on the Pop Pop Shirt. Very nice attention to Detail.

I have been away, trying to keep up while away.... I am on page 665, I think....

Anyhoooo.... YCMT just put up a new pattern.... it's the Pettiskirt!!

Just figured I'd share!!

1 - I've started to applique and need to know if I need stabilizer with denim? the capris are new (been washed once) so they are pretty sturdy.

I use stabilizer with denim. It might not be totally necessary but IMO it helps keep the finished appliqued area flatter. When I have had areas of the applique without stabilizer under it, the stitching looked slightly rippled. Also, the stabilizer seems to help the fabric slide around more easily as I turn it to follow the applique edges.

I've been seeing alot of cute disney flannel prints out don't you wish they had some of these prints in cotton? I can't imagine what they do with the flannel other than blankets.

I'm going to Disney in Jan. so I'm making hoodies out of the flannel! I already found the tutorial on Craftster.org (search for hoodie... they made theirs out of veggie tales flannel!)

I'll post them when they are done- have flannel that is mickeyhead fabric (in blues) and after that's done I may make a second one (only 4 night trip though)

I'm going to make PJ pants out of the flannel too. But I certainly wish it was cotton sometimes!

I'm thinking pajamas and pillowcases. I was also thinking the same thing, why can't we use them in winter clothing? Although, I've never made winter clothing but I'd like to se start seeing some ideas! hint... hint...

Thanks Lisa! I'm starting my first real project tonight and I'm so excited. I practiced today and made a backwards "R" :rotfl: At least I figured out how to draw my design on the heat n'bond to make it tirn out right! It's a good thing it was just practice! I'll probably make another practice run before the real thing. Hopefully I'll be done by Monday and can show it off on here! I need lots of pixiedust:

I will make sure to take care of that right away! Sorry about that!
I am going to do some editing here. I am not a rule breaker, I want to abide by the rules. Thank you for informing me!

I'll have to look for that and add it to the bookmarks site too! I can't wait to see your pictures when you are done.

You mean this one? We didn't buy the photopass, but I added Simba to a picture I took myself. I think we'll have to re-enact this for our 2008 trip in her Simba dress!

OHHHH, she looks so little there!!! How cute!!

Um, first of all, since I am only 25 years old, the talent was a twinkle in our father's eye 32 years ago....:rolleyes1 I love that I got Corey to say "Whoa!" and that Lydia loved the dress, too. Yes, I think she'll wear it to AK. But, she'll also be wearing it to Binder Park Zoo the next time we go!
Ok, where is the smiley of someone spitting coffee out of their mouth, or pop coming out of their nose from laughing so hard???? hmmmmm oh well, this one will work

Ok, you can be 25 if I can be 31!! :rolleyes1

You should feel priveleged, one of the last times Corey said, "Whoa" was last year when I suprised him with his Ipod! (free coutesy of Proctor and Gamble and Meijer!!!)

Am I crazy that this made me teary-eyed? Thank you so much for the compliment!
Well, I got all teary when I read it too!! So, we must both be crazy!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE that tulle Nemo skirt!!! I really love it! Did I mention that I love it?

WOW, I LIVE IN SW Michigan!! Oh, yeah, you probably knew that. Ooooh... I didn't know we had "adult" photos on the photopass site. That'd be a perfect spot to post my Ariel pasties! :lmao: Okay, sorry about that mental image.
I post these little jokes just for you!
I will be crying right along with you when Lyddy and Tessa start school next year. I get teary whenever I think about it.
You know, for the past 4 years I've tried to figure out how to spell Lyddy without people just thinking that I mispelled Lydia! (Lydie)I like the way you did it!

I can't believe our babies will be going to school next year. :sad1:

I wanted to let everyone know that disneyshopping.com has some great deals on sheet sets. I ordered a queen size in this princess style and it came yesterday. It looks like nice fabric and it measured out to almost 10 yards of fabric for $14.99!! I also got a Tinkerbell full size flannel set for $12.99. I'm going to make a nightgown out of them. It's not the greatest quality flannel, but worth what I paid! They also have a Mickey Tiki full size sheet set for $19.99, a twin size Pirates of the Caribbean for $19.99, and a full size Mickey sheet set for $24.99.

They are offering an extra 20% off today only and $5 shipping on your order of $50 or more. I don't know about the rest of you, but I have no problem spending $50 on this site!!

Here's pics of the fabric (sheets) I got:

OOOH OOOH OOOH! But, I have NO money. That wasn't nice!

Did Umama post that skirt yet? I need to go check.

Has anyone use the tutu twirl skirt and corset top patterns from Dainty designs from youcanmakethis.com? I'm think of buying them and am wondering how user friendly they are?!?
