:scared1: HA HA :scared1: Look what I just added to my siggy. Whoops here come number 4 :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I'm a little scared but happy :dance3:
Congratulations!!

How funny! I always envied ladies who didn't know for a while. I always started vomitting about 10 minutes after conception and didn't stop for 40 weeks!
LMAO :rotfl:

This is my first attempt at a more intricate applique. I think it may have been Dena that said to just be patient and take your time. That's all it really took! I encourage you all to try it if you haven't already!!

I noticed in the picture that the tiny threads on the mushrooms (that I JUST did) haven't been trimmed, yet, so disregard their "fuzziness"!

After I finish the dress (I plan to add a bow to the front and a tie in the back), I will post my princess wearing it!
It is beautiful!! Will you share the applique pattern, pretty pretty please :flower3:

Wow, there have been some truly amazing, beautiful outfits posted on here in the last few days. GREAT job everyone!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Here's my first attempt at creating an outfit using a pattern. The pattern was labeled "easy", but I didn't find that to be true. But, I finished it! The pattern didn't call for the ribbon around the waist, but I thought it looked a little too babyish without it. I tried using Heat 'N Bond to keep the ribbons on so I wouldn't have to sew it. It didn't work at all (the ribbons just came right back off), so I ended up having to try and sew through the stuff. I wrecked a needle, but I got the ribbons sewn on.

I thought about putting an applique and some ribbons on the capris to coordinate better, but I haven't gotten to it yet. Here is what I have so far:

She thought this was hilarious, as I was "taking a picture of her butt.":

Very pretty! I envy all of you ladies who just whip up customs without a pattern. I won't even cook without a recipe. LOL

Kansas Visitor - yes I was talking about the area around Metcalf and 119th. Right now Joann's is be remodeled so the selection seems to be a little low but they should be done by October. I was at the Hancock's over July 4, I didn't notice the pirate fabric but I wasn't looking for it. They did have the minnie dot and the faces around the world and matching fabric.
If they have something you like I can try and pick it up for you. I am in South OP so it's not the distance that is the problem but the 3 kiddos I have to tow with me. My daughter just had a play date and told the other mom that I had been dragging them to fabric stores all summer. At least it is stuff for them that I am making.
I will try and post more so I can pm and post pictures.

What a mean mom!:rotfl: Dragging your kids to fabric stores...Fortunately my daughter loves to go fabric shopping but my 2 teenage sons do NOT find any humor in it at all. I usually hear, "Do we HAVE to? Don't you have enough??" Can you believe that?

I really like the friends/faces around the world fabric and the outfits I've seen are adorabe. I just haven't thought of anything that seemed "old" enough for my 10 yo. Anyone have any suggestions? I believe after the last Hobby Lobby sale, we now own almost every Lizzie McGuire and That's So Raven patterns, so feel free to give me your thoughts!

I slid #3 past him when he wasn't looking. :rotfl2:

THAT, is hilarious!!!:lmao:

Congratulations Amy on having your 4th, I'm very excited for you!!!

I spend way too much on fabric with only one girl. If this ones a girl I may go bankrupt :rotfl2: :rotfl2: But oh the fun of making tiny little customs :rolleyes1 :cloud9:

Ok here's the outfit.

Just looking at the pics. I think I'll try the red dot fabric. Unless ther are any other suggestions? Unfortunately I can't find the hello fabric in white to go with it!!!

What a cool outfit! I would have never thought to do something like that! :thumbsup2

This is adorable. What is the fluffy stuff around each face? Is is frayed denim? Or a fringe trim. I think this is so cute!

Congratulations! Best wishes for a happy and healthy pregnancy!

I don't think it is crazy to have 4. I am the oldest of 5 though. DH and I want at least one more. I am hoping for a 2 for 1 deal (twins) :rotfl:

We'll see after DH finishes his degree. Children are a blessing though. My sister hasn't been able to have any and I feel so bad for her. Maybe one day.

Congratulations!

Alice is so intricate! You did a great job. LLLLoooove those little mushrooms. I love the Teapot and cups too. So cute and I can't wait to see the dress.

I am going to try to applique a mickey head soon. I need to head up to Old Navy to look for some Denim on sale!

Woo-hoo!!! Congratulations!!! :jumping1:

I've really been wanting a 3rd lately, but it's not an option for us.
I don't think you're crazy at all. I just got home from a fellow Diser's house. She has 7 kids and her house wasn't any more crazy than mine is with 2 kids!

I got DD 4 pair of jeans for $3.99/each! They were really nice looking jeans, with no embellishments. Now that I WANT jeans with no embellishments, it seems like everything has "stuff" on it.

Has anyone else seen this on Disneyshopping? How cute is that!!

I know we were talking about creating tutus before. I saw this and fell in love with it!

I love it! It's almost sophisticated looking!

I did an order yesterday. That skirt was in my cart!! I then said to myself, "what are you doing!!? TRY to make one first!" So, I took it out. I did get a few of the "Studio" T's. I am going to attempt one of those "tu-tu" or "pettiskirts" to go with the Tink Studio T.

I also got myself one of the Alice in Wonderland "Studio" T's!! I'll wear it with Mallory to our 1900 Park Fare breakfast (when she wears her custom).

PM me your email, Bengalbelle or anyone else, I can email you the pic I used for my pattern of Alice. I found a coloring sheet online and then magnified it 200%. The teapot and cup I have, too.

Okay Jessica or anybody out there that can help - Jessica made these wonderful pants for dd, but now I want to try to make a top to match. What is the name of the navy blue and red fabrics? Where do I get them? I've checked Walmart and Joann's (that's all I have up here), and I figure I need to order online but I don't know how to search? Anybody?

Thank you! My mom picked the pattern up at a garage sale, so I'm not sure if it's still available. It's Simplicity "New Look" number 6476. I made the dress shorter to fit more like a tunic.

:cheer2: Congrats AMY!!!
One more after this one and you'll have caught up with me! Next year I'll have one graduating from High School and one from Kindergarten plus all the others in between and after. :scared1:

So here's a shirt I made for DD. She's 17 and gave me as much attitude about having to do a picture than my 5 yo does. The wind was blowing and puffed it out more than it already is and she was freaking out about how fat she looked. She'll really be mad if she finds out I posted them! I didn't use any pattern, just some phone calls to Dena and voila! She's already out the door in it for a big friday night on the town. She likes simple stuff like this so everyone who has teens, there is hope as far as getting them into customs. I'm making her and DD5 matching Jacks soon.
