Search ebay for "small world boutique". I just saw an outfit (t-shirt and jean capris) made with this. They had some really cute faces with it.

Thanks I will get looking right away!!

Well i searched small world boutique, boutique small world under e-bay, with no luck. Can you put sellers name here? I think that is allowed

I finally got pictures taken. I didn't really like the Ariel fabric I had to go with this Nemo fabric since the one I have is mostly purple with "Watch me Sparkle" on it for Ariel.

However, I had other Ariel stuff that we did like together, just some ideas. I really have no clue what I'm going to do yet but DD thought they went together, too. I hope it helps others with ideas.

Where is the green background Nemo fabric from? I have only found the blue water background Nemo fabric.

I *think* it was Hobby Lobby. *blush* I don't remember! I went on-line to see if I could find a picture so did Jo-Ann's and didn't find it there.

I will tell you it has to be either Hobby Lobby, Jo-Ann's or Wal-Mart as those are the only places I have gone for fabric. I was recently at Wal-Mart on a hunt for Pokemon fabric for one of my boys and know I did not see the Nemo there. Hence why I'm thinking it's Hobby Lobby.

Sorry I'm of not much more help. I've just bought so much fabric since getting addicted to this thread that I don't remember where I got what.

It says it's Finding Nemo #5807 (copyright) Disney/Pixar for Springs Industries, Inc. if that helps.

Ok so hubby gave me $30 plus shipping to spend on a custom outfit. I want something with mickey or minnie but am not finding anything on ebay. Does anyone want to help me out orhave ideas of where I can look?

TIA

what kind of outfit are you looking for? for what kind of weather? when is your trip? I may be able ot help you. pm me

I just looked and it is an ended auction. I pm'd you the auction #, I hope that you can still see it. I don't think I can post the # here though. I wish I could because it was pretty cute!

I saw the green Nemo at hobby lobby. I remember it because I thought, how cute and had just bought some other Nemo at walmart. I thought the green was too girly for my son though. I LOVE it!

It looks like I may have to start over with the shirts for the Wiggles Live outfits. :sad1: My mom took the shirt that I had finished appliqueing and she was going to put the zipper in for me. There's been alot of drama between us lately and I posted about it on the CB. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1503159

In a nutshell, my mom has allowed my younger sister to disrespect our home, and when we said something to her about it, my mom then continued to disrespect me by lying, and even worse she disrespected my DD14 with her lies.

I'm not about to ask her for the shirt back. I'd rather just start over with a new one. :guilty:

I am sorry about the trouble you are having with your mom and sister. We the same issues with my in-laws and nephew that they raise. It is so sad :(

Off topic a bit... What are you making for the Wiggles Live? We are going in August with DD2. We have seats in the "hot potato" section close to the stage. I really want her to look extra cute princess: So, I am just looking for ideas.

Thanks,

Oh no! I haven't read your other thread yet, but I will. I am so sorry you are going through this!

Need help with this. I would like to make something simular to Tinks "It's a Small World" outfit multiple pages back. But i don't have any coordinating fabric. I love the colors and the sayings, and would appreciate any help or ideas. I have searched under Robert Kaufman fabrics (that's the designer) and the title of the fabric is "cute to boot 2" but no luck. Anyone seen anything like it? Any ideas? Would love some help!

I LOVE that fabric! Do you already have this fabric or are you looking for it? I think it is wonderful!

I think that will look adorable! I really like the idea of mixing the characters! I found that Nemo fabric at Hobby Lobby, but I believe they are clearencing it out. I bought the double panel nemo the other week for $2 a yard.

Can anyone help me with appliquéing? I’m trying to appliqué Mickey heads onto a skirt (like the one posted a dozen or so pages ago). I used the zigzag stitch on my machine and put it on a little less than 1 to get it close together. It looked terrible. I got my trusty seam ripper out and went to work with it. I tried three more times and finally started hand stitching. Boy, that takes a looonnnnggg time. And it doesn’t have that “professional” look to it. (Not that any of my designs are professional. But I would like it to look halfway decent.) Are there any tips? Do I need to just practice? The appliqué that was posted a few pages back looked so good. I can’t remember what it was, a strawberry? Apple? Anyway, if mine looked half as good, I’d be estatic.

TIA!

ok, when I applique I do not use regular thread. it is too think and will completly bunch up and get crazy.I use a very thin rayon. also the same in the bobbin. that will make it look smoother and it will not bunch up. I also make sure it is adheared to the fabric with a heat n bond first. it helps it from moving and looking wrinkled. also make sure you use a stabilizer behind the fabric area you are sewing. it will help it from bunching or looking like the shirt is stretched around the applique.
does that make any sense?

Hey there everyone!:wave2: Love everyone's recent outfits and fabrics! - I think the Nemo/Ariel combo is great! And I LOVE that fabric with the different languages!

Mono~rail - I'm so sorry about your Wiggles shirts and everything else you're going through!

I finished a Pooh dress for DD this morning, just need to upload the pics. It's the same Pooh toile and blue dots someone posted earlier - too funny (great minds think alike :thumbsup2 - I've had that fabric forever, just need the motivation to use it!

When you say stabilizer behind the applique do you mean something like interfacing or is it something totally different? ----Mindy

All I could suggest is putting your stitches even closer together. I set my machine at like a .5 stitch length. My stitch width varies. If I'm working on something bigger I make it a bit wider. Narrower if I'm working on something smaller. In the pic I used a .5 length. HTH

This was my 2nd attempt at applique, and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. Just practice on some scrap fabric first.

Oh man.... I LOVE this fabric!!! Where did you get it? Sorry I don't know what could coordinate with it. Now, I have been known to walk through the fabric store holding up a piece of fabric to see if I can find something I like.

I use stitch n tear from walmart. it is $1.27 a yard I think. I cut it out to the size of an 1/2 inch bigger than the shape. it is basically a stabilizer for the entire applique! It makes a world of difference.
