OMG... I love this set. Your DD is sooo cute. We are in the process of adopting our last baby from Vietnam. We just started the dreaded paper chase. It is so hard to complete a homestudy, chase 4 kiddo's and plan a Disney vacation:) We hope to have our newest DD home in 12-18 months.

I have been lurking on this thread for weeks! You are ALL absolutely AMAZING! I don't sew but my mom does so I have been showing her all the pics so that she can make some things for my 16 month old daughter for her first trip to WDW in October. I have also purchased a few things on ebay and in a local shop.

I would love to know the auction # of the Cinderella outfit as we are looking for something extra special for MK. I cannot PM yet...

I would also love to get the info on the autograph pages.

Tink - Adorable outfits! Belle is different from your other. I just went through the first 10 pages or so and saw it again. I also like Repunzel, so much work and thought put into it.

Adoptionmomma - Adorable! I do like the big bows, but your daughter and her outift steal the spotlight away from the bows! Nice job on the ribbon jeans. I have yet to make a pair but those make me want to do it!

Wow adoption si a long long road. we thought of that also, but the road is long and there a lot of restrictions. Are all your children international adoptions?

Thanks! Congrats on your new little one. I have friends who adopted two children from Vietnam this past November.

I know it isn't clothes, but I'm so excited. A while back, someone sent me a template for an autograph album. It has over 100 characters and today I finally got it cut and bound with the coil binding. Office Max did it for 5 dollars.

*********Hello!! Where can I get the template for the Disney autograph book???
I love it!!!!!!!! and need to make it!

Yes, that is what I love about this Belle set. It's more casual but just gorgeous. Also, the "Once upon a time" on the top... I knew I had to have it! That is the name of my blog about adopting Gracie.

If anyone runs up on the retro looking Mickey swirl or the pink seersucker like material with the different color (red, yellow, white etc...) little Mickey ears all over it - please pm me and let me know who and where.
Round trip today was over 150 miles - two JoAnn's and one Hancock and no one has it! I did get some jungle looking stuff I hadn't been able to find for Animal Kingdom outfits though so the trip wasn't a total loss. The clerks at both JoAnn's and Hancock said they would ship if I could find who has it!!
Thanks ~

HELP!!!

I am making a twirly skirt for DD and I am having trouble making the waist band... Any waist band experts out there?! If so would you maind ginving me some pointers... I botched it good today!

I will hopefully post some pics tomorrow.. DD's AK capris are done ( I need to embellish the shirt) The baby's top half of her Nemo outfit (for Epcot is almost done) and the Ariel Twirly skirt is awaiting a waistband.. DD is going to be so mad tomorrow morning when she gets up and the twirly skirt is unfinished.. She so wants to model her clothes for you!

Also

The bows are REALLY easy to make... With the amazing sewing I have seen here you ladies could whip bows off in a second!

Tink -- your new sets are just gorgeous. I especially like the Beauty and the Beast one. Would you be willing to PM me the address to your blog? I'd love to read it. I don't have a blog but my two are from Russia, and I love to read about other countries' processes.

Adoptionmomma -- your DD is adorable, too. And congratulations on your in-progress adoption.

Great work everyone, I love it, love it, love it. My twirl skirt has been put on the back-burner for a couple of days because I haven't found the "right" fabric for it yet (I don't know what I want)...but I did find some Ninja Turtles fabric that my DS will love. He loved his Cars pajama pants so much and I know he's going to go crazy about these. I'm trying to make it a surprise, but I'm not good at keeping secrets! LOL

I just started painting DD's bedroom today. It's been 6 years (already?) since I last painted it (pink) and now that she will be 8 on Friday (already?) she'd like something "a little more mature" :rotfl: (if you only knew this child!)

Anyway, you ladies have all inspired me SO much the last few days....reading this thread and looking at all of the pictures you have posted.....I can't wait to ransack my local fabric stores in search of cool Disney fabric and pillowcases!! And fancy bottlecaps, and tulle, and BLING!, and Aleene's Ok, and sewing chalk, and velcro dots, and, and, and!!!

Thanks! Congrats on your new little one. I have friends who adopted two children from Vietnam this past November.

Thank you all for the nice complements.

Jessica- we think she is pretty cute:) Those were my first and only pair of ribbon jeans. I am not sure how to do them now that her jeans do not snap up the legs. I am going to try with a pair of capri's this week.

Eeyore- yes, adoption is a long road. But it is so worth it in the end. I would not for one minute change the way each of our children were added to our family. This adoption will be our first international adoption. Our other children were adopted from the foster care system in our state. The older 3 are bio siblings.

Tink- I am glad to hear about your friends. Vietnam is becoming a very popular program with the growing wait times in China. Did the adopt infants?

oh, Well in the midst of my busy day I just completed this set. My 3 year old is already asleep so sorry no little model!

Yes, it is getting very popular. News came out this last week that China's wait will grow to 3 years.:sad2:

This couple adopted an 8 year old from China in 2/05. A one year old from Guatemals in 10/05. A little boy, 2, in 11/05 (from China but the parents disrupted after the got home) and then an 18 month old boy and a 5 month old girl from Vietnam in 12/06.

I think your loopy bow looks great. I can't really tell how big it is, but I Love big bows in DD hair. I always make them big and she always wears her hair in pig tails. I will post a quick pic. It is not in Disney, but in a custom I made her for my older daughters cheer comps. You will see how cute the big bows look:)

Cute! and, I love the shirt, did you make that?

International adoption may be a long road with lots of restrictions, but it is a road WELL worth traveling! :woohoo:
