Wanna know what's really sad -- in a funny sort of way? I don't even have a boy or a nephew. :lmao: That's when you know this obsession has gone too far.
Now, I'm going to clean off my sewing table and try to get back to see what I've missed.

You are so funny!! What a great job you did!!! I'm sure SOMEONE will pay you good money for that outfit!!

Hello Creative Disers - you women amaze me! I am not a sewer but you have inspired me to try!

When doing something like the cute patches on jeans - how do you sew down the patch? Does the jean leg opening fit over your sewing machine? I am afraid the answer is you unsew the leg seam do the stitching and sew the leg back up - ahh - that is a scary thought!!!

Thanks for any insight.

I am so sorry that some ebayers gave you a hard time. I guess they were afraid of some competition - very sad and downright pathetic. I hope you will still sell on ebay because your work looks beatiful and I am hoping to buy something for our upcoming trip!

Also - hope you feel better soon.

Take care - Karolyn

oh, I got a ton of pm's!!! I will add you all to the board very soon! you can only invite 25 a day , so tommorow I will start adding more I promiss!

Yes, I rip open the leg, sew on my appliques and then sew the leg back up. Honestly depending on what type of jeans they are it isn't too bad. I just posted a picture of old navy ones, they were a size 7 slim and super easy compared to usual. I did the outsides of them, where usually I do inside the legs.

Another poster doesn't rip them open. I looked at that option but there is NO WAY I could do it even with as big of a size as I had to work with. I usually don't rip the very bottom hem, only if I have to.

Alright, I wanted to share with all of you what I spent my afternoon doing. It isn't Disney, but I thought some of you may like it. Of course, some of you may hate it, too. :lmao: This is my latest from my Budget Boutique. I found the Ralph Lauren Polo shirt in my local thrift shop for $.25. I added the stripe and made the shorts. I couldn't find a pattern like I wanted -- with the stripe and piping on the side, so I had to improvise. I'm really quite pleased with the results. I almost took a picture of the inside because I'm particularly proud of that. All the seems are serged and top stitched down or somehow enclosed in the shorts.

Don't know why the first pic is so blurry. Sorry.

I love your creativity! I wish there was some college fabric like that out there ofr the Naval Academy! I'd love it! I don't have a boy, but a girl who would wear it!

This is my first post in this thread, but you all have truly inspired me. I am working on a Donald t-shirt for my daughter to wear with her red shorts. I will be searching this thread for help on fabric glue and no sew options, but I wanted to share this with you first.

I was at Kohl's the other day and saw this dress made by Bonnie Jean. it was $19.99 and in toddler sizes. The fabric is a black knit with white pin dots. The dress at my Kohl's actually had red bows an red ruffles instead of white. I immediately thought of the creative people on this board and what you could do with it.

They also had this dress in several different bright color combos for $19.99.

Okay ya'll have totally inspired me. I have no clue how to sew but, I now own a Brother 4000 sewing machine:banana:. I've almost completed decorating a shirt with a Minnie head and ribbons. Here's my questions

What stitch do you use to attach the appliques?
What is the best fabric glue to use.
Where can I find an easy pillowcase dress pattern/instructions?

I know these questions have been answered before but I can't seem to find the post.

Thanks
Jen:)

Castle creations- I hope you were feeling well enough to watch the travel channel tonight. They featured the Disney cruise line and Brent was on there quiet a bit! And he was talking, too!  If that doesn't make you feel better, I don't know what will!:thumbsup2

This outfit turned out great. I really like this idea! I think I could Disney-fy it for my son. Thanks for the inspiration!

I love, love, love these jeans!!! I've got to try something like this!

I made another Minnie t-shirt dress for my niece, who is exactly 3 months older than my daughter. I had enough fabric left over for a 2nd one, my sister just bought another shirt for $3. So, there is a total of $10 for both dresses! They'll look so cute wearing them together! This one only took me 3 hours, I'm getting faster (the first one took about 10 hours)!

Here are some jeans I have been working on. I really like the way they turned out. I think the part I love most is the belt and the ruffles! Two things I can't do for my son!

Ditto for me . Please PM me as well. Let me know what you need so I can get my daily fix of the beautiful clothes you ladies make :thumbsup2

Blessed Be,
Tina

WOW! It has taken me a couple ok a few days to catch up! I should have been in bed a LONG time ago, but I am tired of missing out! I found myself at Joann's today buying tulle, and I have never worked with it before. :lmao: Bought 32 yards in 5 different colors... to good of a deal to pass up right :goodvibes I have so many ideas and project floating around in my head, but nothing is getting done  Anyway, I had to say keep up the GREAT work! I love seeing all the pictures of everyones master pieces!
OH, LOVE the site with all the pictures on it, that is too cool, thanks for all your hard work (those involved) Sweet Dreams! :goodvibes jen

Before I go to bed I wanted to show the outfit I made DD last year, and then she wore it again this year. She has worn it plenty of times inbetween :) Also the shirt my DS is wearing I made for him last year, it's all appliqued. No special shirt this year :sad2: I made myself a skirt to match DD (last year) I got a lot more comments on it this year over last.
