I found this dress on ebay and I think its super cute! What do you all think? Like it? Don't like it? (I haven't bought it, so you won't hurt my feelings, and I don't think the seller is on here ;) ).

I've had this one on my 'watch list' for a while now . . . love it (I even like the blue), but a bit steep for us (since it'd likely only get worn 1-2x). I keep checking it out though, thinking that *maybe* at some point I'll get talented enough to do something like it!

Here's my interpretation of a JoJo's Circus skirt. I am completely at a loss as to what I'm going to do for a shirt. I've never done applique. TDS doesn't have any JoJo tees. The few that are on ebay aren't the correct color. Any ideas?

I would head over to the Creative DISigns board and request something from Pat, Nana or Amy. They've done lots of stuff for me and they are excellent! Just an idea! I hope you find something, that skirt is beautiful!

Brain Picking time.....

PLEASE throw some ideas out there for me!

I got 1 1/2 yard of this fabric:

I have 4 shirts to make with it. (maybe use solid colors that match the fabric to make most of the shirt and then somehow use it for an accent piece?)
(2 adult XXL {1guy/1gal} - 1 adult medium{girl 18} and one 2T{boy 2})

HELP!

I'm intrigued with the strip idea, but am having a hard time visualizing it for all 4 of us. It just really stands out as more feminine in my mind.

I can sew shirts for the guys (like glorib made for her DS) so if you have a clever way to use a solid color fabric and incorporate the patterned fabric into it - that would work too!

The teen girl likes to wear (tasteful/modest) halter tops.

It's a lot harder to do cute things for boys, but I'm seeing some really clever ideas here!

ok, i am not very creative...
XXL Guy button up shirt made with solid color fabric but right front side is the mickey fabric?
XXL Gal button up shirt made with solid color fabric then maybe mickey fabric along the bottom few inches. ??
18yo tank top with mickey head out of fabric and ribbon behind it.
2yo either match the xxl guy or maybe same style shirt just all in mickey fabric
Good luck, post pics when you are done.
I am addicted to this thread. I am thinking of getting a sewing machine now!

Yup, gotta agree that the blue is beautiful. I just love it. Very unique (which is something I always want in an outfit!)

I love it! The blue makes it different and that is what I like about it. I like things that are unique.

This thread moves so fast...I think my request got lost yesterday.

I requested someone give me the info about the autograph books and the seller of the Cinderella outfit. I cannot PM yet...

All the new outfits are wonderful! You are all so talented!

Thanks in advance.

Here are some things I've made these last few nights

For Animal Kingdom:

don't know when dd's going to wear this one:

These aren't finished yet - they are halter tops but I need the red grosgrain ribbon for around the neck - the front view

I think I'm done sewing for a few days - dh says he hasn't spent any time with me since I've started these projects!!!! Actually, I'm just out of fabric, as soon as I get more, I'll be sewing again ;)

I love them all. I really like the little halter tops! Did you have a pattern, or did you just wing it? I want to make some halter tops for my daughters and I need some ideas how to do it!

Is the second picture a skirt or a top? I think it's cute either way!!!

I REALLY like it! Count me in as one that loves the blue! I think it is a nice unexpected accent color!

I just made my first "no sew" tutu thanks to Castle Creations and many others. I have not sewn the two ends together yet, because dd is asleep, and I don't want to measure her waist while she is sleeping:cutie:

Is there somewhere on the boards that has a step by step printout on how to use photobucket (or other allowable site) so I can post pics? :confused3 I have the tutu, a pre-shirred walmart fabric dress, a t-shirt dress, and a pillowcase dress to show now. Well plus some others that have been purchased. Any link would be helpful!:wizard:

I sent you a PM :)

I agree wholeheartedly. I think the blue gives it some punch. Really different - I adore it!

Now can someone please PM me with the seller's info???

I love this!!! I think what i really like about it is the light blue added in. It makes it different.

We're taking my daughter for her first visit to Disney this Nov. We're going to do the Perfectly Princess Tea Party (should they wear the princess dress for this or could I make her a cute dress? Would she feel left out if she wasn't in a princess dress?), breakfast at the castle, and also the Thanksgiving dinner at the Campground. Does anyone out there have ideas for these specific activities? I really love the outfits that are floating around out there!

Ugh!!! I can't get the search to work for this thread...Does anyone remember (or even the OP) where the Epcot/Small World necklace or bracelet set was??? Was there one??? Am I dreaming it up??? Or does it exist??? :confused3

Am I losing my mind??? (That would be a YES!!!) :lmao:

Bumping this up...before it gets completely lost. ;)

Anyone know what I'm talking about? TIA!!!

Personally, for the Perfectly Princess Tea and/or BBB I would not put anything on my DD other than the perfectly gaudy and tacky princess dresses. I say this despite having a closet full of far nicer disney and princess-themed customs.

For breakfast at the castle (CRT) or other evening dinners by all means break out the customs. However, given that 99% of the other DDs will be wearing those princess dresses (or 100% in the case of the Princess Tea I attended), I personally would not deviate from that.

I was afraid of that!! So we'll bring on the princess dresses!! I guess that she could change in to something that I make afterwards huh?!

After looking at the Ebay auction I will tell you I LOVE this dress! It is stylish and the blue adds a new dimension to it that is not usually found. I love it! The starting bid is really not that bad. I say buy it!
