Kids Disney Boutique / Customs Clothes Part 2

I did buy instructions from ebay. It was unbelievable easy once I figured out what size to make.

Lady Rob - would you mind PM'ing me the seller of the halter instructions? I've been looking for a pattern with no luck, and this looks just like what I had in mind. I know some have mentioned just adjusting the pillow case dress, but I'm no good without directions... ;)

LadyRob, Please PM me as well with your applique instructions too. I've got an Alice outfit in the works and I'm afraid there'll be no pillow panels to help me with this one:rolleyes1 .

I'm so glad to see you're feeling better Elise. I apologize for getting all excited over the hullabaloo of yesterday. I was just so upset because I've heard of so many situations where the more established sellers on eBay intentionally gain up on promising newbies to push them out of business before things really take off for them. When you described your situation, it sounded like this was what was happening to you. :grouphug:

I would like the instructions as well.
Thanks,
Miranda

I got mine from seller paulelyseandi. She doesn't have any up right now, but I think a few people have emailed her and she's glad to help. She does adorable princess appliques and a few Mickey head ones, too. Hope this helps!

This is where I got my pirate mickey ones too. She even threw in a few extra mickey heads!!!

Ohh - me likey! :thumbsup2

I want to make 3 t's for some people going with us - mom, 11 yr old girl, 15 yr old girl - SO there's 2 t-shirt mickey ideas -

just waiting for someone more creative than me to come up with a third one (Mickey Icon on a T with ribbons) so they can all be a little bit different! ;)

I use different color pins. I put red pins in the back pieces and yellow pins in the front pieces so I am sure to keep them separate. I also keep a pin in the pattern pieces so I can always go back and check which color meant what if I need to.

By the way, I found a tutorial on shirring if you're interested: http://houseonhillroad.typepad.com/photos/sunny_day/index.html

I'm not a big fan -- too many memories of stuff my mom made me wear in the 70s, but I know a lot of people like it! ;)

I have that link on my bookmarks page, but didn't put in the tutorial section. I should do that!

Oh... Amazing things happen when you click on the little "+" next to crafts on your bookmarks page. I had only been looking at the main list and thought "gosh... I didn't see it!" Duh!

I noticed and I think they look awesome. I think they really finish off the outfit. ;)

I noticed they were nice and bright yellow, kept thinking how cute they would look with snow white or belle (if not wearing goldish), but now I see where they can totally match Mickey too! NOT that shoes have to match! I cannot possibly start matching shoes to all outfits I take, too many shoes to pack then!

My sister said she did the same thing the other day! It works very similar to your regular bookmarks on your computer. You have to open the folders to see what's inside.

YAY!!! We finally get to see the beautiful Destiny! Well worth the wait!

LOL! Sounds like a misnomer to have $10/yard fabric at "dollarfabrics-dot-com" Although I suppose they didn't say what the dollar bought you -- in this case 3.6". :lmao:

LOL! I was thinking the same thing! I got excited when I saw the name of the website!

Here are the Snow White beads that I have. They're divided into sets.

Oh my gosh, I love these!

What is the link for the site with all of our photos? I should of book marked it ahhhhhhhhhhhh

If you go to the first post in this thread, there is a link to all the pictures and also a link to all of teresajoy's (many, many, many, many) patterns on there.

Once again, I LOVE it!!

Lydia and Tessa wore their dresses together yesterday when we went out. They looked SOOOOO cute!!! (Ok, they ALWAYS look cute, but this was EVEN cuter than normal!) Several people stopped me to tell me how adorable they were, and I saw many admiring glances! I am so proud of what a wonderful creative job Heather did!

She took pictures of them, so I am patiently waiting for her to sign on and post them!

I also made my two girls and Tessa tutus, which I thought turned out pretty cute too! I made Arminda's with the "no sew" method. But, quickly decided that no sew doesn NOT equal easier! So, for Tessa's and Lydia's I just sewed them. SO much easier to make and to keep looking nice! But, those pictures are locked away on Heather's camera, and she must have decided to spend time with her hubby this morning instead of spending time with us! (But, if you saw her husband, you would understand!)

All right already, I'm working on it, keep your pants on (please!)! Yes, you are correct, I was spending time with my husband this morning. You're also correct that if they could see him, they'd understand. ;)

Here's a new take on the ribbon tee.

LOL I have a Mac and there are no such "+"s in my bookmarks. (I've got little triangle arrows. If you'd had triangles, I would have known what to do. LOL!)

Teresajoy made my daughter (Tessa) and her 2 girls (Arminda and Lydia) these adorable tutus!!

Arminda, Lydia, and Tessa in their tutus, pretending to be sweet little angels:

Here's a more natural pose!:

Lydia and Tessa in their matching Minnie outfits (yeah, I know, you're sick of the Minnie dresses already- I'm just so proud of myself!):

I also wanted to alert everyone that I saw some adorable little Minnie-ish skirts at Dollar Tree yesterday!! They were little satin swing skirts (w/ a yoke on top) and were white with red dots. They had matching satin tops, too. They also came in black and LIME green! The sizes I saw were 3 months up to 24 months. These could be embellished and made even cuter! I tried to take a picture, but my phone wasn't charged.

Ok - I cannot figure out how to post someone else's post in this post but just wanted to say I love the new take on the ribbon tee - very cute and creative!! I think I might try something similiar with the animal prints for the AK!

Have a Wonderful time!! pixiedust: Tell Mickey I will see him in the fall. :goodvibes

MickeyFan!! We will be there the 26th-2nd. and I'll also have DD2 w/ me (along w/ dh and ds9) We'd be up for meeting up one day if you've got time. We like to meet other Dis'ers. We're staying off property this year but we're going w/ a large group who are all staying at the Mariott-and my inlaws paid for the suite, so how can a girl complain? Of course DH is none too happy. But we would love to meet up if not, hope you have a great time!! I'm not sure what day we're going to MNSSHP just now but if you see about 12 gangsters/molls/flappers roming the park say hi, i'm probablby 1 of them!!

I would LOVE to meet up somewhere! We are going to MNSSHP on the 31st. Although I haven't purchased the tickets yet, I am going to have to do that SOON!! We are staying at Pop. I met a few groups of DISers last time we were at Disney :goodvibes We are leaving DS at home this time, he just wasn't any fun in April :confused3. On the 30th we will be at MK for sure (have reservations) and on the 1st we will be in Epcot (reservations at 5:30). Other than that I am open to what ever, if you won't be in the either park on those days. Let me know, we can figure something out! :goodvibes jen

We don't leave until December! Yeah, I'm a little over-excited about it - will be my first time to WDW!

Hey, it's DISNEY!!! You should be excited!!! We go every year, and I am JUST as excited each time! We don't leave until May, and I'm allready busy making plans and getting outfits ready! You are going to have SO much fun!!!

Too funny! I still get the same feeling I did when I was a kid and we knew we were going.. it's like the anticipation of christmas eve. I can NOT sleep the night before we go, DH always has to drive in the morning b/c I've been up all night making sure everything is packed and perfect. Even if I lay down I can't sleep cause I just wanna go NOW not later.

ENjoy your first trip. I'll tell you the same thing I tell all of my friends. It's only magical if you let it be.

Okay, so they're not 'boutique' (and I can't find them online to link pics), but for those of us who don't (yet) sew . . .

Target has several new Disney embroidered lines. I got my girls each a pair of Little Einsteins embroidered shortalls and polos. Frankly, the boys lines (Little Einsteins, as well as Mickey) were even *cuter!*

HTH someone!
