I just got an email from disney cruise line that says kids cruise free from on selected Mexican Rivera from 10-23 to 12-18. Does anyone know if we can book this with points?

ha, ha!! Yeah right!! I don't know for sure but I would be shocked if DVC members were given the "kids cruise free" promo when paying with points. It's kind of like asking if DVC members get "free dining" at DW when staying on points.

Now...someone please make me eat my words and I will be thrilled.

No, you would not be able to book this with points.

We did the KSF last Feb. Don't really want to do that itinerary again, but am hoping they offer this out of Galveston at some point!!

I am hoping for that one too.Especially if they extend the Galveston Cruises to the Spring, That would be great,:cloud9:

Unless they run a DVC special, you don't get access to any of the promotions including kids sail free or early booking discounts for any cash portion.

I looked at those cruises - paying cash is a good deal, but it leaves out of California and when I checked airfare from Atlanta, it was expensive.

I thought all of the 2011 cruises were "full" as far as points bookings were concerned.

Wasn't there just a big uproar over cruse availability for points a few months ago?

Perhaps someone who has recent experience can jump in here and provide the relevant details regarding cruise availability for points.

Carol, I think there is availability on the Magic and Wonder. The Dream, being new is the one that they were putting a hold on point reservations

Renting your points is still the most economical way to pay for cruises with points. Of course, there are downsides to this, with the risk and work involved.
