Kids Clubs

Hi just wondered if anybody could help me with a query? We (DH, DS8, DS5 & myself) our planning to come to Orlando next year (Sep / Oct). At Disney we can book Kids clubs if we want, does Universal have the same thing? The children are a bit too young to do the coasters and DH & myself like to ride them together so were hoping to spend some time doing that if we could arrange childcare of some sort. Any ideas?

I know that each on-site hotel (Hard Rock, Royal Pacific, and Portofino Bay) has child care options, but I believe you have to be a guest to take advantage of it. Also, I think they only provide it in the evenings. If you want more info, you can go to www.universalorlando.com and click on HOTELS and then on the RECREATION option.

We haven't used it, but we might in the future.

Well, my kids are 13 and 17 now, but flash-back 5 or 6 years and they spent several evenings at Lil' Rocks at the Hard Rock Hotel and loved it even more than the Disney kids' clubs! (Sandcastle Club at the Beach Club was their Disney favorite.) They actually begged DH and I to go out by ourselves a few extra times so they could stay at Lil' Rocks. They actually had a better ratio of staff:kids at HRH than they did at Disney and were especially good with older kids (not that they weren't good with little ones). DS was 11, I think at the time and they took some of the older kids outside onto the big lawn area and played touch football with them. It was great that they got to let off their energy by playing a sport instead of just video gaming themselves to death. There's also an enclosed playground area for the little ones that can only be entered from the kids' club so there's no way out.

I highly recommend Universal's kids' clubs.
