Just passing on a great summer activity if you have kids. Google kids bowl free and see if there is a participating center near you. You can sign up 6+ kids and each kid gets two free games every day all summer.

DS7 plays bowling with his school (Oct - May) and all of the kids were sent home with the information. We registered him about a week prior to the program starting. DH and I also took advantage of the $24.95 for us to play all Summer as well. This is the first year our bowling alley is doing this.

I think it's a great idea and gives the klds something fun to do in the Summer and of course family time . The only thing we have to deal with is renting shoes for DS which is $4 each time. That can run into a bit of money once the Summer starts (but of course we won't be bowling every day either). It pays for myself to buy bowling shoes (and DH already owns a pair), but not for DS whose feet are still growing.

The one great thing about it is that DH and DS are both signed up for a league, plus the Kids Bowl Free which will help our son improve his bowling. With the school, he had to use the bumpers b/c he couldn't keep the ball from going into the gutter. Both the league and the bowl for free will help him improve that so that he may not need the bumpers in October when the school starts the program again.
