Kidney stones questions....help!!

Oh gosh! Your post really suprised me. I was thinking once he had litho he'd pass it within a day or two. I'm guessing after he has litho he'll have another CT scan to see the size of them, or will he know if it worked before we leave?

They prob. won't tell you anything before you leave. You'll prob. get a strainer to strain any pieces that come out (or sometimes small stuff like sand will come out). Hopefully he won't have strong stubborn stones like me but I just thought I'd let you know that one litho might not do it esp. if they are big. Sorry.

thanks, I like knowing all the options! DH wants to know as little as possible.
 
He most likely will pass the pieces within a week, and it should mostly be sand. The PP has a history of stones which could be the reason for the need for more than one lithotripsy. I've never heard of someone needing more than one procedure for the stone. Poor PP!!! I feel for you!
