Me too. I am not a shoe person so I don't own very many pairs of closed in type walking rain shoes. I hate the thought of having to wear my hiking boots.

The majority of my shoe collection includes Uggs and Reef flip flops. Don't tell Gussy. ;)

Definitely skipping that! And with SAB and the pools at AKV and BLT, I don't think a water park will be necessary.

Count CL in with your AKV days. A triple split will give you the opportunity to experience all three resorts. :rolleyes1

Stop! :lmao: I'm so thinking the same thing.

One day we'll do SAB and BCV. How are their rooms? I wish the YC had DVC.

Hard Rock and RPH are less. And deals will not come out for probably another month. Just sayin'

The FOTL pass and walking to the parks is pretty priceless. BUT if you are only going for one day, not really worth the move.

I'll be sad if you give up THV I have to admit! It's so hard to decide but moving 3 times really will eat up some time so I'd just factor that in. After we did it in 2010 I swore never again. That was a 3/5/3 trip. Of course we will see if I can actually stick to that. :rotfl:

It's like child birth....we forget the pain and sleepless night and do it again. And again. And again. :upsidedow

Spring Break plans have been made. Taking the kids to AZ. :woohoo: Looking forward to some heat and relaxation. :cloud9:

The BCV studios are nice, that's all I've been in. I really wish the YC had DVC...I love the Boardwalk location but all the villa pictures I see look like it's really pink! The boys would hate that, I love the clean lines of the YC room decor. SAB is the bomb...though it's easy to lose a kid there, it's so huge!

:thumbsup2 on AZ!

And Cynthia:

Happy Birthday!!!!

Thanks! :goodvibes

Any fun bday plans? :goodvibes

I'm super stoked for AZ. Gabby will have her permit and she can help me drive. :scared1: One of our dearest friends lives there and our kids are super close. She's got a great house, nice big pool, super mellow. Just what I need after a bumpy January and M traveling so much over the next two months. I'm debating on whether we'll drive straight through or stay in Vegas a night. Vegas for a night is kind of a :headache:

So Cal was also an option but we didn't upgrade our Hoppers to APs and I'm not about to she'll out another $1,000 in park hoppers. :faint:

SAB looks amazing and I agree about the BWV rooms. They seem very pastel. OKW looked pastel online but we loved the rooms. I dig the vibe there. :hippie: I haven't stayed at the YC but nautical is my favorite theme. :cloud9:

I'll keep checking for Universal deals. Otherwise, I may just buy the express passes. It'll be pricey, but I may go that way if the crowds are unbearable.

I agree about THV! Jenny, have you been swayed into a triple split yet? :rotfl:

SAB is amazing. I loved the YC. Maybe DVC will eventually open there. I would LOVE it.

I asked to see a BCV 2 bedroom when I was at the YC in Nov. 2011. The rooms are nice, very relaxed vibe. I visited the model room at BWV and didn't like the color scheme. The pink walls killed it for me. BUT the location is amazing. Both BWV and BCV were available, but I couldn't give up SAB in August.

Well, it is a school night. :rotfl: Jeff and I went out on Sat to dinner and a movie and he'll cook tonight. :thumbsup2 We will probably go out with the kids over the weekend as well but that's about it as far as I know.

I could definitely see Vegas for a night being a headache. How long is the drive?

Seems a different kind of pastel, OKW looks ok to me but BWV walls look SO pink I don't think I could handle it and even if I could, not sure Jeff and the E's could. Which is a bummer as I really do love the location.

I'll keep checking for Universal deals. Otherwise, I may just buy the express passes. It'll be pricey, but I may go that way if the crowds are unbearable.

Check the fine print on those as for some reason I think they only work once per ride, and don't work at all on FJ (neither do they if you are staying onsite though).

Exactly. I love the location and the resort itself but pink walls?????

Cynthia, I hated the pink paint. If I remember correctly, there was one pink accent wall. I'm not a huge fan of the color pink.

The resort is beautiful. I love the whole boardwalk atmosphere. It's much more serene during the day than the YC/BC area. At least it was when we visited for an afternoon last summer. I would definitely try BWV on a kid-free trip. I think my nephews will prefer SAB over the crazy clown slide at BWV. Plus, I find that slide quite creepy. I do not want to slide out of a clown's face. Also, in the August heat, BCV is MUCH closer to the WS entrance than BWV.

And thanks for the info on the express passes. It may not be worth getting. I figure our focus will be WWoHP and the Dr. Seuss area. Oh and I can't forget Spiderman. I have to check the height requirements on the coasters. I know the little one, who will turn 4 in June, won't be tall enough.

Jenny, have you decided on that triple split? popcorn::

I look like I'm dead in pink. It couldn't be a more horrible color with my coloring. I can deal with it in small doses but a whole wall, I'm just not sure I can get past that. Isn't that pathetic?

True, but BW is closer to BlueZoo, Kouzzina, Big river Grille, the Bakery and DHS! :rotfl:

Supposedly (creep factor aside) it is a GREAT slide. The slide part itself. We are trying to stay there in Oct. I can totally handle it on a girls trip and will see what I think then. The boys though are another story, they don't care for the BC decor at all or the little kid vibe (compared to the YC), I'd have enough work convincing them that the villas are much more serene. SAB would win them over though so I'm not really worried about it plus the villas are a nice hybrid between the 2 and the villa pool is just lovely!

Spiderman is the BOMB! As is the Hulk if you like coasters. :thumbsup2

It will be totally dependent on being able to score any CL time. :hyper: I need lots of pixiedust!

I would pay cash for a night at the YC but it's a secret.

SAB in August will be amazing! The colors of BWV are a turn off. Maybe they'll update them. How old are the villas?

What did he cook? Love a man that can cook.

My friends house is 11 hours away. It will be a long drive but stopping puts off the inevitable.

I'd love to see the uber pink walls in person. Wonder if they'd let me tour?

So I keep typing a reply to you on FB but it won't let me post there:confused3

We ate there (Cape May) and it was one of our favorite meals. I don't eat seafood and found tons of stuff to eat. I know they had roast beef because there was a man from Maine in front of me and he asked the chef to take his piece (they carved what you wanted) back and cook it till it was well done.:scared1: They had some awesome sauce for the beef too. I will look and see if I have some food porn for you.

:goodvibes Thanks girl! It looks so good. Is it brisket? Yes, food porn would be great. :thumbsup2

It might have been brisket. I just know it was beef and the 2 sauces were really good, one was a horseradish and the other was a mustard sauce. I am going to look at my pictures now.

I just looked it up and no mustard sauce. It was a red wine demi-glace and it is hand carved flank steak. We didn't take any pictures we must have been to busy eating. Also the menu does change depending on the day. We went on a Sunday night.

Thanks for looking. And also for letting me know the menu changes. :thumbsup2 DM posted that Bon Bon picture. Those look fantastic! Did you try those?

:rotfl: If it means CL at AKV then ::yes:: I'll know in 35 days.

It can work one of these 3 ways but not necessarily in this order of resorts:

AKV CL
SSR
THV

Or

AKV
SSR
THV

Or

AKV CL
AKV

All good options! I see a triple split in your future! :rotfl2:
