Thanks! I'm going to read it on my way into the city today.

And I agree. Not moving for 10 nights will be nice. While I would have loved to try AKV, I'm very happy with BLT and just settling in for the whole time.

Have you taken your kids to the community center at any of the DVC resorts?

In a word? No.:scared1:

:rotfl:

:rotfl2: What college? Local or far? Commuting or moving?

I have a table of contents but think it's off. It's a fun read if you don't mind chatter.

They have been to the one at OKW only. The one at SSR is on the list for sure this next trip. Does the GCV have one? :confused3

I'm loving our pre pre planning.

It is a local college. Thankfully she isn't ready to leave the nest. She gets nervous doing anything by herself. She is going to be a cosmetologist. She loves doing hair and make up. I am excited for her because she is doing something she loves.

I started reading it on the way into the city for my hair appointment and dinner. The GV at OKW is AMAZING! I need to check the point chart for that.

I love our pre pre planning too!!

Loving what you do is key! Good for her. And she'll still be home so you won't have to worry as much. :goodvibes Plus, free dye jobs! :thumbsup2

The GV at OKW really was amazing. Olivia's is a nice option for dinner too. Very low key place but with a good menu and great food. It was one of my favorites of the trip. My goal is to try all of the DVC restaurants as we stay there. I didn't try Boatwright's at the POR but read good things as well. We'll be trying The Turf Club for dinner for sure. And maybe some place else if I can ever decide on where to split.

Just wanted to let you know jenny that you have inspired me to join a gym. I have given up my trip this fall and used that money for my gym membership. I have a tour tomorrow night and am looking forward to it. :goodvibes

The space at OKW is a plus. Doesn't OKW have the largest DVC villas? I bet the GV at AKV and BLT are amazing as well.

I've heard great things about Olivia's and the Turf Club.
Would you just stay at SSR the entire trip? Or do you definitely want to split?

Free manicures too!!

And pedicures! :cloud9:

:goodvibes Baby steps are key. Make little changes you can stay with long term. I support you 110%.

I cannot imagine there is a bad GV. :rotfl2: OKW has the biggest rooms in all categories I think.

I am torn but am leaning towards splitting. I am eager to try all of the resorts.

Will the early closings of the monorails change any of your plans? 10 nights at BLTs sounds great!

That's great to be doing something you love! My son is going to be starting his senior year, and he has no clue what he wants to do. The only thing he is truely passionate about is fishing.

I loved the Turf Club and so did my youngest son. DH and oldest ds are picky eaters and did not like their food at all. The one thing we all liked was the onion rings with dips!

We set out to try all the resorts, but got stuck on our favorites.

I want to stay at OKW soon, at least for part of the stay. The space looks AMAZING!

Are you considering BLT for part of your stay?

I'm really excited about our extended stay at BLT.
The early monorail closings shouldn't effect us since we rent a car. We can walk back from the MK and can drive back from Epcot.

I was wondering that too Jennifer....what kind of impact will the Monorail limitations have on BLT and any Monorail line guests. I'd be kind of pissed. :headache: Being on the Monorail line is a huge perk.

That's us. I'm trying to convince myself that staying at OKW again would be dumb as we've stayed there but it was such a great resort.

There were 10 of us and we had plenty of room! :cool1: Truly a fabulous, low key resort.

Are you considering BLT for part of your stay?

Not really. I cannot justify the points and the decor doesn't speak to me; I've read it's wonderful but seems a little formal for our motely crew. :rotfl: The location can't be beat and MK is my favorite park so maybe one day. I'd

You answered my question above. ;) An extended stay will be amazing. What ADRs did you make? Will you cook at all?

Well I decided that getting healthy was more important then a trip to Disney. I am not happy with the way I feel so I am going to work to change it. Plus I get 2 hours free child care every day that I work out so I don't have to worry about her (for only $6 a month).

We ate lunch there. DS didn't like his steak sandwich. He didn't read the menu and there was "stuff" in it he didn't like. His fault, not the restaurant's. It was the DH got a Angus Chuck burger, and said it was just a burger nothing special.

I also had crab cakes, and the tomato bisque. They were so good! I love goat cheese and it went so well in the soup! The crab cakes were very small and thin, think half dollar sized, but they were delicious!

It's amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it. It's not easy but it's beyond worth it. :thumbsup2 I cannot put into words how great I feel. Losing that 35-40 lb plus changing my lifestyle were two of the best things I have ever done for myself. I took some time for me and guess what? Life didn't stop, Michael and the kids survived, and I'm a far better me, mom, and partner. You won't regret it.

It all sounds delicious even with "stuff" on it. :rotfl2: I do love a steak sandwich; may have to try it. I'm a sucker for those and meatball subs.

I am already looking forward to it. I know I will be a better mom and partner because I am doing this. I can't wait to see all the classes they offer. I know they do children's classes (think swimming, dancing, rock climbing ect.) and Lexi is excited about those.

Good for you! What gym? Is it national?

Good for you!!

Does the gym offer Zumba? A couple summer's ago, I joined an aqua zumba class and lost so many inches! It worked out perfectly because ds was in swim class while I was in the water doing zumba!

The following fall I did Zumba on land, and lost even more inches! I went from a size 14 to a size 6 in a year. Did aqua zumba 3 days a week, and when I switched to land it was 2 days a week.

We won't talk about where I am now. I need to buy the Zumba DVDs so I can do it at home.
