I'm a little late joining in, but wanted to say that you have NO idea how happy I am that someone else started making plans for their trip so far out in advance...LOL

Our first trip "home" isn't until Sept 2011 and DH says I'm making him crazy asking questions, etc. about his preferences for this trip. :rotfl2:

:welcome: With a trip lasting over 400 days, it's never too late to join in the fun! I am a freaky far-out planner and would love to hear about your plans too.

I see OKW is your home. We stayed in a GV there in May 2009 and it was fantastic! We love OKW!

What have you got planned so far? Did you make your DVC reservation?

From October 2009, Hallowishes. :cloud9:

Hello to Jewish Utah from Jewish Central Illinois :)

I just read through your PTR - sounds like you have a wonderful family and I'm looking forward to seeing how your trip develops.

I am hoping to be planning a girls-only trip soon here, but right now, I'm just enjoying wandering around the DIS again after my last trip!!

Here is a photo outside of the real Tiki Room at Disneyland. I still refuse to enter WDW's as I have heard it's just terrible. :scared1: ;)

Thanks for the warm welcome!!!

Our service was really great - I work for our local Hillel, so I played bartender at the Hillel party while one of our other staff was carding. We had a huge amount of dancing, and even the younger students (who were denied alcohol!) had a great time. So it was all around great. And I am SO GLAD to be done with the holidays!

We went to the Tiki Room at WDW - I had to get out DH's earplugs because I couldn't take the noise. It wasn't terrible, but I've never seen the one at Disney World. I do scrapbooking, and one of my favorite pages is of the Tiki Room, so it probably wasn't the worst ride of the trip :)

I am so glad I am not the only one who is glad the holidays are over. Your celebration sounds fantastic. Our synagogue is very small as you can imagine as I am in Utah but we are close community.

Now onto planning my DD's bat mitzvah. :hyper:

The Tiki Room at Disneyland is very Walt-like. It's very old school with lots of 60's voice overs.

Care to share a page or two? I used to scrapbook quite a bit and would love to get back into it. I found it very relaxing.

Autopia at Disneyland 2009. DS was driving so I am truly shocked I got such a clear photo as I got whiplash from his driving.

Loving all your pictures. I "liked" your photos that were accepted at Disney. My favorite is the one with Gab and Chloe. :lovestruc Such a sweet big sister.

:thanks: The funny thing is that switched titles with some of the photos. :upsidedow I have NO idea how that happened but figure it's not really worth emailing over.

I am sure I understand - aside from the university community, there's not a huge Jewish community around here.

I think while our resouces are limited the benefits of a small community are numerous. :goodvibes

You really should, it's entertaining and brings back so many great memories from my childhood.

:thumbsup2 Those are fabulous!!! Are those digital? How did you do that? Love them and the photos are terrific!

This is of DH and I on IASW at Disneyland in 2009. Disneyland's IASW is my most favorite attraction ever! :cloud9: I look very tired in this picture because I was. :lmao: We had just spent 5 days in AZ with some dear friends and then left at like 4 am that morning to make it to Disneyland bright and early.

Thank you!! Those are two of my favorite. They are digital - I use Photoshop, but have used Photoshop Elements in the past. I like digital because it's a heck of a lot less messy & I think more affordable as well - once you get the program, there are hundreds of free kits, even more for pay, and you can reuse each kit a million times because they are digital. I am hoping to have my Disney album be my first complete album that I print :) And maybe I'll get it done before my next trip!!

So, IASW at WDW was my favorite ride as a kid, and even now I love, love, love going on it. What's different about it at DL? You do look tired, but for good reason!! But happy, which is most important!!

that is officially the first picture you didn't look amazing in. Good mind you, just not amazing.

:lmao:

Nice to know you are human!

I am going to have to look into Photoshop because those pages are awesome! :thanks:

Disneyland's IASW is amazing. The queue is outside and the exterior is so great. The clock chimes every 15 minutes and then at the hour, the little dolls come out and it really is so cool. My description isn't doing it justice. I will go into my Photobucket and find some exterior photos for you. I believe Disneyland's version is 16 minutes long. Plus there are super cool topiaries on the exterior and more countries are represented on the interior. :thumbsup2 And during the winter holidays, the light are UNREAL. :cloud9:
