About half of the guests now use MagicBands and 90% of them rate the experience as excellent or very good. Were very pleased with the growing popularity of MyMagic+ and expect it to contribute to parks earnings growth starting in the fourth quarter
100% correctThat link does not say that 90% of guests love FP+.
It says:
Approximately *half* of all guests now use Magic Bands.
90% *of them* (them = the "about half" that now use Magic Bands), rate the experience as excellent.
And, those percentages are referring to use of Magic Bands, not specifically FP+.
Nothing in that statement says that there is a 90% approval rating out of 100% of all guests.
AgreedEven on the busiest of days under the old system I could get more than three FP. From my perspective then FP+ is a negative and detracts from my enjoyment.
I also think it's ridiculous that the OPs kids have suddenly become "burned out" in some peoples opinions simply because they don't like FP+.
I tried to stack all the fast passes in the morning, but due to this week at WDW, there was no way to move the fast passes around, especially for the popular rides (7 dwarfs, test track, ect.) I even took some throw away fast passes (i.e. Nemo) at 8 am, to get things stacked in the morning. I tried for 6 months to move the times around, it was impossible. One of the draw backs with coming between Christmas and New Years.
I see the "if you had a bad experience with FP then you must be mistaken" crowd is out again. I could see myself liking Magicbands when we get back to WDW. But I am quite sure that based on our touring style we will not like FP+. So where's the survey data on FP+ specifically? As for the "six months" comment, maybe the OP meant to say six weeks? Or 2 months? OP, just curious if any of your prior trips has been during such a busy week?
And I see the "support the anti-FP+ poster no matter how bizarre the claims" crowd is out in full force.
6 months of switching FP around? You don't say. How interesting.
I see that you haven't actually used FP+, which surprised me a great deal since you're reliably on every complaint thread.
I don't understand why so many take such issue with ops kids opinions. It sounds like kids that age could come up with that. They may have just been frustrated with the crowds or maybe they do need to vacation elsewhere.
I don't mind fp+ but that doesn't mean everyone has to like it. Op- sorry for the experience. I don't think disney is going to do away with fp+ but hopefully they will tweak it.
I know I might be the minority, but I like FP+. I like scheduling popular rides and going on them with little or no wait. We have gone for spring break for the past 3 years and it is so nice with FP+. My son brings his bf and they have their fp scheduled and they can go and do their own thing. I love it!!!
which is odd as you state you go to WDW twice a year, which means you have multiple trips with FP+ under your belt.
