Kiddie Meals

We are going to be having quite a few kids at our wedding, and I am wondering what the deal with F&B minimum is?

This is what I THINK:
Under 21, charged full price for food, no alcohol obviously, and don't have to meet any minimum.
Under 9, can get kids meals or be charged full price for food, don't have to meet any minimum.
Under 3, free.

Is this correct? Also, how much, or around how much, do the kids meals cost. Chicken fingers and fires would make all my kiddie guests happy!

I actually just emailed my planner about this. The under 21 count as adults, eat the normal meal, but will just be charged soda and water and don't have to meet the Per person minimum. The 3-9 can be given a kids meal and I've even heard they can eat off the buffet (if you're having a buffet) for a reduced price. They do not count towards the per person f&b minimums. The under 3 are free but I don't know if they get their own meal. Maybe someone who's already had their wedding can tell you.

So the only people who count for the per person minimum are those that can drink alcohol

I have not had my wedding yet, but this is what I got from my planner:

- Under 21, pay full price for meal, no alcohol. Don't have to meet minimum
- ages 3-9, can order kid menu (even if you are getting buffet) - I have not checked if there was a reduced price or how much it was.
- under 3 are free. They can eat off the buffet for free. If you want to buy them a plate, you will have to pay for it. I'm not sure how it works with a plated meal.

I hope this helps some. I would just call my planner and ask about specific scenarios with children, that's what I did and it was very helpful.
