Kidani Savanna ?

Hi,

We are leaving for FL in 3 days. Staying at Kidani, in a 2 bedroom Savanna room. Those of you that stayed in a savanna view room, please post where your location was, how you liked it, and any additional info you want to share. Thanks!

I stayed in a studio on the 2nd floor (which is the ground floor) and it was great. I thought that maybe being higher up would be better for views but I'm very happy that I was on the 2nd floor and would request that in the future. I was the last room in the hallway off the lobby and the walk wasn't even too bad.

I stayed in a studio in June. We were at the bottom of the U on the south side of the building (Timon), third floor. There were more animals closer to the lobby. The giraffes and zebras only came down to our area in the late afternoon when they were fed there. The rest of the day they were by the lobby. If I stayed there again, I would request close to lobby, second or third floor.

Being close to the lobby was not only great for viewing animals, but for easy access to the buses, shop, community center and laundry.

For pool access however, it seemed that folk on the north end of kidani (3 or 4 beads up) might have the best access down and through the parking garage & through the entrance behind Maji. We discovered this entrance on our last day... very handy particularly for those of us who don't like to walk through the lobby in our suits.

We were in the 3rd bead on the north end, close to the garage elevator. It IS very close to the pool. We were on the 4th floor, and I really didn't mind being up there for animal viewing.

We absolutely loved Kidani! We didn't go through the lobby too many times...we used the parking garage, as we had a rental car.

We just got back last week from Kidani! We loved it!!! Our room was 7606--the second room to the left of the lobby. It was a perfect location for everything. Have a great trip!! You are going to LOVE Kidani.

I just got back from our first Kidani trip this last weekend. We had a 2 bedroom savannah view room, 7318. It was 3rd floor, fairly close to the lobby, the closer to Jambo than the pool side. We saw lots of animals! We LOVED it and would request that room/location again.

Some of the animal viewing will depend on the weather, as well. I talked to one of the CMs who was out at the savannah viewing area. He said the animals really like this time of year and roam around a lot. Summer- not so much. It gets hot and they tend to hang out in the bushy area to the back, away from all the people viewing.

Just returned from a stay with our family of 13 in a 2 bedroom # 7238 (savannah view, 2nd floor) and standard view studio # 7225. Pretty good location although I wish our units were located closer to one another. We were on the lobby level and it generally was not a long walk although at night after riding the bus back after a day in the parks the walk did seem a bit long.
