Kidani - Quick Service??

I hope I'm posting this in the correct section - if not, Mods Please move!

So, Kidani doesn't have a quick service option like Jambo House (Mara) - does anyone know if there MAY be anything in the works to "fix" this? I don't understand why they wouldn't add one when they built it? Do you think the idea was that we'd all use Mara? I for one would like to see a quick service place added at Kidani. Just Wondering if anyone has heard anything in regards to this.

There are no real active rumors stating they will put one in place. That said, it has been a common request by members.

In a new DVC resort, the cost of a food location is paid for by Disney as a construction cost. The cost plus additional profit, would be added to the point purchase price.

Since Kidani is already built, now it's a up to Kidani DVC owners to pay for any changes through their dues or as a special assessment.

There are multiple DVC resorts that do not have more than one quick service food location at the resort. Like VWL, only Roaring Forks is available at WL. At OKW, Goods to Go is located by the main pool. The Turtle Shack at the Turtle Pond pool is open seasonally and both of these locations have very limited food selections. At BCV, only the BC Marketplace is available, none at BCV.

Actually I thnik that would be all AKV owners since there's only 1 resort (with 2 buildings).

Probably not going to happen but I would have liked them to build one. Even if just small one like OKW has. You can order a few things from the Room Service Menu and they have like 3 things they stock at the bar at the pool. Other than that....walk to Jambo house or bus over. It is easy to bus over. Any park bus goes there but you have to take the DTD bus back to Kidani so that can take a while. You are better off walking.

And at BLT the QS is at the Contemporary Resort. It appears that any time a DVC resort is attached to a regular Disney Resort the DVC resort does not have a separate quick service. Technically even BWV falls into this category since the boardwalk restaurants are shared with BWI. And all of these attached resorts have a bit of a walk to get to the QS restaurant. Since Kidani is such a long resort it just seems like it's so far to walk to Jambo. At least Kidani has it's own market and fitness center, at BLT you have to go over to CR. And after walking across the BLT skywalk in heavy wind and rain yesterday, I sympathize with anyone walking from Kidani to Jambo in bad weather. At least there is an option of taking a park bus to Jambo. It's the getting back to Kidani that is tricky by bus since only the Downtown Disney shuttle goes from Jambo to Kidani.

Since so many DVC resorts are in similar straights regarding the QS restaurant, I doubt that Kidani would have one installed. Where would they put it anyway?

There is the Grab-N-Go by the Kidani pool.....at least it's something in addition to in-room dining :
