Kidani pool vs Clown pool - Easter week?

We've been to Disney Easter week before, so we know what to expect at the parks. We're a "rope-drop family." :-) What I'm more concerned with is how crowded the pools will be - especially at Kidani.

We've never stayed at Kidani, but I've seen pictures and videos of the pool there. It seems nice, but not exactly what I call "big." Is there anyone floating around these boards that has stayed there during Easter and can speak to the crowd level? We usually hit the pool in the early afternoon, when the parks are too crowded to enjoy. We just returned from Memorial Day weekend at SSR, and by Sunday at 1:00 p.m. you couldn't find a single chair at either the Paddock pool or the main pool.

Kidani is such a big resort - I worry that the pool can't handle the load. As an alternative, we could stay at BWV (assuming we could get a ressie at 7 months!) We'd have to shorten our stay by one night, but it seems like a much smaller resort - with the very fun clown slide that would be perfect for my kids (ages 9 and 7.) Plus the short walk to Epcot and HS. Am I deluding myself into thinking the pool there will be any less crowded?

Let's here it DVC vets: which pool for Easter week?

would think they would all be busy. you can go use AKL pool if Kidani is too crowded for your taste.

you might try for BCV at 7 months - then you have 4 pools - the main one between BC/YC, one each at BC, YC and BCV.

sure to find one that is not too crowded - especially with the majority going to the main one.

one good thing about BC - SALB that BW does not have - park guests can not get in this pool. they kept it gate entry - so would go with it.

that say if you think your pool is too crowded ask the life guards or security to check everyone Id (keys) - this is non-pool hopping time - so the only ones in the pool should be guests of your hotel.

We stayed at Kidani the week before Easter in 2011. It was also the week for New England school vacation so the parks were very busy.

We were a group of 15 and had no trouble finding a good place by the pool for us to all camp out. In fact, probably the best day of our vacation was the day we spent the afternoon by the pool at Kidani. It was busy but not overwhelming crowded.
