OK Folks:
We just joined this week and purchased in Kidani. Put down the deposit on Monday and we are now getting ready to execute our documents. DW and I spent our Sunday breakfast time going over the documents and making sure we are on the same page with this. Here is what we have:
We bought a 170 PT AKL Kidani contract with an October UY. We received the 8 pt discount and also received the 170 bonus points for use at SSR, DL or II within the next 12 months.
For the most part we vacation in mid-June. Our children usually get out anywhere between the 10 and 15 of June. Once school ends is when we take our annual vacation due to work schedules for me and DW. ( I am also a college football official which also limits my vacation period).
So we are talking about using our points usually in the month of June. We have agreed to go outside the WDW resorts every 3rd year and utilize the II properties.
We are going to take advanatage of the 170 developer points for our trip next June and so that we do not waste a "free" 35 extra points, we will use about 20 of our AKL points. We will then bank the rest of our 2009 points for future use.
Here are my questions:
1) Since we already know our week for next year, how difficult will it be to get the week we need at SSR when we are booking in November (7 months out)?????
2) We will probably take advantage of the II resorts in the Carribbean, Bahamas, or Mexico, how difficult will those trade weeks be????
I would appreciate any member feedback so that I can validate that we made the right decision with our purchase this week. Thanks.
