Kidani experts wanted!!!

Heading to Kidani for the first time in 2 weeks. Reading tons of posts and now more confused than before. Basically needing advice on location requests for a 1br savannah view. I will say we have NEVER made one request and take what we are given. Sometimes good, sometimes not good. This time I want something good if possible.

I get the whole close to lobby, close to Jamba etc. Personally we don't mind walking so I'm open to that I guess. Had the absolute last room at BW one time so kinda been there.

What I really really want is a great view of the animals for the kids to see in the morning, in the evening WHEREVER that may be. So high floor, low floor, far away, North wing, South wing etc. Tell me.

Experts? Where do I want to be?

Thx very much

Our biggest request is always Sunset Savannah. We don't mind walking so how close we are to elevators/lobby is not an issue for us, but we love the Sunset Savannah, best animal viewing IMO.

Keep in mind that there will not be animals the whole day but Disney does a great job of 'feeding stations' throughout the day so that the animals in a specific savannah make their way through 2-3 times a day.

Low floors get you closer to the animals. We usually like the lobby level, although the floor above that is good. Have a great time!

We have stayed in bother upper and lower floors at Kidani. Lower floor is definitely better for viewing the animals. We were in the last bead from the lobby (closet to Jambo) on our last trip and had the very very very best views. We had giraffes outside of our balcony at all times (other than when they pull them off the savannah for their daily care).

It's my home resort and I still don't know which savannah is which and I've stayed there 5 or 6 times now. :lmao:

What I do know is this; the rooms just down the hall from check-in are KILLER. I think they are 72xx or something like that. It seems the even ones face the savannah but they will know that. They are just past community hall and CLOSE TO EVERYTHING. If you can get one, you will be very lucky and very happy. We've been fortunate enough to have been in one of the first 8-10 rooms down that hall for 4 stays and they were all great. We even got the SAME 1 BR one time which was really kool.

We've been down at the other end too. All the WAY DOWN at the other end (literally at the turn at the end of the hall). It's a really walkway for the animals between savannahs, so I don't think it's technically a savannah view room anyway. OK by us, but I can certainly see why people complain being at the ends of the hallways. We park underneath, drive everywhere, and rarely even go to the lobby area anyway. The convenience of being able to is really nice though, once you've had it.

This our home resort as well. Both trips we have been on lobby level about 2 "beads" down. 1st year to left of lobby towards pool, 2nd year to right of lobby just past the laundry. Both locations had great views of the animals, when they were out. I did feel like the April trip had the animals out much more during the day, while the Nov trip they seemed to rarely be out in the morning but more into the evenings.

Is there much of a difference in viewing the animals on the sunset savannah on either wing, way to the left or on the right side close to jamba? Meaning if i am on a low floor on the sunset savannah do I care where i am (except for the long walk)? Do the animals hang on one side more than the other is my point.

Thx

I know it can vary but I have to agree that the animals seem to favor the ends of the resort.

I asked at the desk why that was and they laughed and said that is where they put the food. :lmao:

The end of the hall near Jambo is where we saw them most of the time, even though we were close to the lobby.

I won't ask for close to the lobby anymore.

The only time I was there we were about half way down the hall on the right side. It was on the bottom of the "U" if you can picture it. The only time we saw giraffes or zebras was in the late afternoon when they were fed there. It seemed like the animals hung out close to the lobby. We never saw animals in the morning.

The animals more around so much all SV rooms are really pretty awesome. I like to be located closed to the lobby as the kids can fill up their drink mugs without me. Make sure you do the feeding the animals bead craft as the animals get really close at that time. Have a great vacation
