Husband and I will be at BWV, kids will be at Vistana, can they spend time with us at pool and on the Boardwalk? They will have our car. Also, are they allowed to walk to the parks with us? Sorry if these are silly questions. I'm a newbie. Thank you

Well, the pool area could be an issue. The pools at the resorts are for the guests at that resort..not the guests of the guests. But, I'm sure that if you check at the front desk, they will give you permission.
As far as parking goes, you could get a parking permit for them when you check in. They can give your name when they get to the guard shack, then you can give them the permit to park so they can use it to hang out with you.
Before anyone starts on me about them not be registered guests (I am a strong proponent of not allowing non-guests use the parking lots for the resorts), I figure that they have family staying there...it would be pretty much the same as if the mom/dad had a car.

Yes, they can walk around the boardwalk with you, as well as walk to the parks. Anyone can do those things.

First of all, your kids don't want to stay at Disney??? ;)

Boardwalk is a public area and it's a free country, so don't worry about that. Of course they can hang out and walk around the Boardwalk. They can always park in the guest lot. No big deal.

And we're not talking about 5 kids with 5 friends, right? More like 2 kids? And from the sounds of it they're basically adults, right? It really shouldn't be an issue, but I'm sure there's people that would take exception to the pool situation. I mean, it is what it is. I think anywhere you go that is Disney-like, you're going to have people abusing their priviledges, so hand-in-hand with that is the guests who have a problem with anything that they think other people shouldn't be doing instead of just enjoying themselves.

Don't worry about it too much. Goofy4tink is right - I'd worry more about what Disney says and ask the front desk. I would explain that you're in a villa and would normally have your kids with you in the villa. I suppose they might not approve, but think about it. How many people usually stay in a villa...a whole family...so it's not like you're bringing in a horde of people that wouldn't normally be there. Have fun!

Thank you for the replies. There will only be daughter, son-in-law and grandson. I had a timeshare week, so chose to put them in Vistana. I will take your advise and talk to the front desk people about the pool. It will probably only be once anyway. We have lots to see and do.

all BWV allow 4 some studio even allow 5.

so if just you and your husband then you can allow them - just list them on your reservation. this is not a problem unless you are getting DDP. then they also have to be listed. So it could cost you more money. Of course if you are paying for everything already (my situation when I invite relatives) then it will save you money.
