I wasn't offended by either. I believe Kid Rock was actually trying to be patriotic and the Janet Jackson/Justin Timberlake is getting the reaction they were looking for in everyone talking about them.

I don't think he did it to be disrespectful, but rather to show his patriotism.

That's exactly why I wasn't offended by it. People wear flag underwear, flag shirts, even bikinis, if it's done to show your patriotism I'm all for it. Maybe it's not the best way to show patriotism but it's sure better then not showing it at all.

I agree that neither bothered me...I actually enjoyed the show and the music. I love Justin though.

Honestly the only thing that I thought was a little not right was Aerosmith at the beginning when they were in the space shuttle. I thought that was a little disrespectful because it was the year anniv. of the disaster with the shuttle.

I think people are making WAY to big of a deal over all of this and giving the networks just what they wanted. You see just as bad if not worse all over TV nowdays. Not to mention what some people are actually seen wearing in public!

there is a big difference between wearing something made with flag patterned material, and wearing what appeared to be a real flag cut to put his head thru..


I'm curious though..who exactly are you showing yoru patriotism to if you wear flag underwear..LOL

Great American artists like Willie Nelson and Aerosmith get bumped to the pre-game show, while this stuff gets on half-time at the biggest broadcast on the planet??????????? I am not offended by any of the stunts, but the quality of entertainment just didn't do it for me.

The whole crotch-grabbin thing always reminds me of my 3 yr old nephew when he has to pee.
As far as the other two, I guess I really thought the boob thing was an accident, Janet Jackson looked horrified. And Kid Rock is such a gross redneck nothing would shock me.
