Will the kid's clubs ever accept children over 12.. My sons will be 11 and 13 when we go and I'm thinking it could be nice for a "grown-up"meal.

Only if you tell them he's 13!

I thought your sons were 10 and 11, just a bit big for their age..........

It's a licensing issue with the state of FL. Would you want Disney to lose their license?

The kids clubs are very strict about age minimums and maximums.

I don't know the answer to that, but that's really too bad. I always thought that you and spouse deserve at least one nice meal alone. Dh and I
are planning one of our own, but both of our children still qualify to stay in the club.

Would you consider letting the 13 year old hang out in the room and give him strict guidelines for staying in the room etc? You could get him a couple movies and some snacks. Will you be dining on site?

In-room babysitting is available - I know they can take care of kids too young for the kids clubs... not sure if there's an upper age limit for them.

..

So, I assume the answer is NO... What can be done with a 13 yr old then???

I let my 13 year old nephew play videogames in the arcade while I had a quiet dinner. He had his KTTW card with charging priveleges so he could get something to eat at the resort while playing games. He also had a cell phone and strict instructions as to where he could and couldn't go.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think 13 year olds are allowed to be 'unsupervised' at DisneyQuest. Lots of teens hang out there.

None of the above are do-able. Both my sons have some special concerns. My older one ( will be 13) has Asperger's, my younger one has severe ADHD with the emphasis on hyperactivity and impulse control issues. I guess I will need to look into the "baby-sitting" services although I'm not sure the boys will like that either especially if they call themselves "fairy godmothers." They absolutely LOVED the kid's club a year ago and were talking about when they found out we were going to AKL again..
