khawk, and people with children everywhere,
after checking with the broker this afternoon there is only one possible minor problem with acquiring a single share of Disney and that is ONLY If you do not have an account anywhere already. The broker said that this is a regular part of their business every xmas. Many new grandparents buy a single share of disney for their grandchildren because of all the characters on the share of Disney stock. At todays price the share can be obtained for about 25$, that includes all costs. The only minor problem is for people that would say, walk in off the street unknown to a broker. There is a new law that requires positive I.D. for anyone purchasing stock. Two forms of I.D. including a picture I.D. will overcome this slight glitch. So if you already have an account, no problem. If you don't mind giving out enough of your personal info to prove who you are, then still no problem. Don't have 25$, now you have a problem.
