Does anybody wear misses tall pants? Where is a good place/brand to get tall khakis? We can wear corporate casual and some days it would be so great not to wear pantyhose.

Thank you!!

Gap and Old Navy both have Tall sizes (and short, too).

I've heard the Gap is kinda expensive. Is that true? I've never shopped at either place. I'll have to check it out.

Thanks!!

they have some good sales. I have the opposite problem, everything is too long on me!!

Try Eddie Bauer- they have tall sizes too. I am always on the lookout for tall sizes as well!

Gap and Old Navy are owned by the same company and the prices are much better at Old Navy. Gap stuff goes on sale quickly, but their staples like khakis and jeans hardly ever do.

Eddie Bauer -- I think we've got a store nearby.

My usual problem is that I buy a pair of Dockers and the first time I wash them, they shrink about 2 inches. Maybe it's my laundry skills? :goodvibes I could open a business and "shorten" pants for folks with my super laundry abilities.

Im not sure how tall you are looking for, but I am 6' and I wear a 35-37" inseam which is almost near impossible to find. Gap does sell at brand called long and lean. These are nice and long. Victorias Secret sells pants (dress, jean and khaki) that are 35" inseam. longelelegantlegs.com is another good site, and alloy.com is another great place for pants.

Being 6' = hard to shop locally. Seems like all the clothes for tall people are wayyy more expensive!!

Patty - I'm not that tall, but I have long legs. You're right "talls" always seem hard to find and never on sale. :)

I had no idea that Victoria's Secret had khakis. JCPenney usually is out of talls, but maybe I'll try the catalog.

Christineann -- it's funny that you mentioned Land's End...I'm on their website right now. I've never really done any clothes buying without trying it on, but their pants seem reasonably priced and I know it's a good brand.

Thanks for all the suggestions!!

Gap tends to be pretty good, particularly if you have an outlet around you. LLBean also has tall pants - I think up to a 34" inseam for women's.

Walmart! I taught special ed and always seemed to end up on the floor with the kids. They have a brand, I can't remember the name, but they had short, regular, and long lengths. They come in several colors and hold up pretty good. They also hold a crease.

Kohl's has some Lee khakis that come in short, medium and tall. They are on sale frequently for around $20 or so. They are very comfortable and are wash and wear if you take them out of the dryer quickly enough. What is your inseam though? If it is more then 34" I think these might be too short.

Land's End will do custom pant lengths. You can order say a size 8 pant with a 36" inseam if you need.

If you're a Kohl's cardholder, starting tomorrow, you can order online(not B & M) and save an additional 30% by using coupon code SAVETHIRTY. This code is good from 11/10-11/15. You can try going into the store but they'll hand you a scratch off ticket at the register when you check out and the discount will either be 15%, 20% or 30%.

Wow! Thanks for all the suggestions. I checked out Old Navy today and learned that I'm NOT a "low rise" kind of gal. Found a cute pair at Macy's -- on clearance for $16...but I'm going to check out some of the other stores too. We have a great Kohl's nearby and I found out that the local outlet mall has an Eddie Bauer outlet. I think there is a Gap at the mall, so I may stop in there this weekend.

I've seen the khaki's at Wal-Mart, but trying to find the "talls" has been tough. Most of the sizes are only in the "short" lengths. I'll try again this weekend.

Ginny :goodvibes
