We took this tour last Tuesday and it was really great. If you're any kind of Disney nut - and even mildly interested - I think you'd enjoy it. We got a 15% discount with the Disney Visa so it was $50/person - plus they provide lunch - so I figure the net cost was about $38 - 40/person. We also got Keys to the the Kingdom pins and name tags that we put on our hats. Our guide, Rae, was very knowledgeable and personable. Now I just have to save up for the 3 park tour!!!

My parents will be happy to hear that! They are going to be doing that tour when we go in October.

I'm happy to hear that! We're going on the tour in just over a week. I can't wait.

Thanks for posting! DH and I are planning on taking the tour our next trip!

I have heard nothing but tremendous praise for this tour! I can't wait to try it myself...maybe next visit!
How long is the tour? I know you said it included lunch. Where did ya'll have lunch?

Donna - We took the 8:30 tour, stopped for lunch about 11 - 11:30 at Columbia Harbour House for about 1/2 hour and were done around 2:30. You place your lunch order before you leave in the morning and they have it all set up with your pins upstairs in a reserved section. There is a lot of walking - but it's so interesting that it really didn't bother us at all.

Great news!! DH and I are going again in Oct, and plan on doing this tour!! Where did you go?
We just got back from the BSM tour (7-8 hours) and absolutely loved it!!! Definately worth the price!
Thanks for sharing your good times!

We did this tour too and thought it was really great. My advice to anyone doing it is to think up all those questions you've always wanted answering before you start, cos I thought of loads after when it was too late! Also wear very comfy shoes and a hat!!

Travelnut - yes you do - but I don't think it's any problem. My brother decided on the spur of the moment to go on it the week before we did and called and made a reservation for the next day.

Madhatter - I got the chicken fingers and they were good. They have several typical fast food choices and some not so typical - like a Garlic Hummus vegetarian wrap!

Beastlover - I think there is some flexibility on where they might take you - for example my brother went into Tommorrowland some and we didn't. We rode 2 rides with the guide pointing out different "behind the scenes" things - but some people don't. So in other words - My experience may not be indicitive of anyone elses!

So glad you enjoyed!!

We took the Keys tour last November and Rae was our guide. At the end of the tour we felt like a family!! We met wonderful people and I told Rae that she is famous on the DIS (I gave her a "What Would Walt Do" pin at lunch--too bad that program seems to be a bust, as they never update their site). I wore my DIS tee shirt and many people asked about it.

We would definitely recommend this tour to everyone!

Thanks so much for the info, Debbie!!! I am really looking forward to taking this tour on my next trip (still trying to figure out when that will be!)!

DH and I did this tour about two years ago (9/02) and it was wonderful! I am a disney nut and all the info was amazing along with the behind-the-scenes stuff. DH wasnt as excited as I was for the tour but he enjoyed it just as much.

When I went back with my father this past year I told him some of the things we learned as we walked up Main Street that the average person wouldnt know unless taking the tour. Well worth the money and I would do it again just to see and learn new things as each tour sounds a bit different.

We took this tour last year at Spring Break and Rae was also our guide. She was great and was great about answering my 17 year old DD's questions about working at Disney (her dream job!) Older DD and her new hubby took this tour on Thursday as part of their honeymoon trip. Looking forward to hearing about how they liked it.
