We are considering booking the Keys to the Kingdom tour when we go in September. I was reading Birnbaum's guide and the way it's described, you don't seem to really see much and you also ride one attraction but have to stand in the regular line when you do. He says you get a "peek" at the Utilidor but that seems to be it. If that's the case, I'd rather spend the money and do the full 7 hour Backstage Magic tour.

Has anyone done either of these tours and what did you think?

Thanks!!

I went on my KKTK tour in January and loved it. You assemble together at the Tour Garden next to City Hall where you make your lunch seletions. Our lunch was at the Columbia Harbor House and we were able to choose from several choices (chicken, chicken and fish, i think there was something in a bread bowl). IThe tour starts on Main Street and then moves around the park. My group went on Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, and Jungle Cruise. We didn't have to wait long...our tour guide went to the ride attendants, and within a few minutes we were on. The rides you go on vary with your tour guide. We did go backstage to see some parade floats upclose, and you do take a peek into the Utilidors...this was a brief part of the trip, but there really isn't too much going on down there. Lunch was at the 2 1/2 hour mark where they had all your meals at the table along with a free gift. I did enjoy this tour a lot, and got a lot of neat information from it. For our next trip, we are thinking of doing the Backstage Magic or one at the Animal Kingdom. I think this tour is a good introduction to the MK...Good luck with your decision! ::MinnieMo

Melann gave a very accurate description of the tour. They vary slightly depending on the tour guide you get and the questions your group asks. We really enjoyed the tour. They pointed out things that we had walked past hundreds of times and never took note of. We got to see backstage areas, like the parade floats, offices above Main St. USA and of course the utilador(sp?) It was definately more than a "peek". Our tour guide was very informative and very patient in answering all of our questions. The lunch at the Columbia Harbor House was very good. There is a considerable amount of walking. All in all, we loved the tour and would definately reccomend it. We have also done 2 behind the scenes tours at Epcot. They were great too!! Have fun!
