Keys to the Kingdom--DO IT!!!

I did the 9 am tour on the 31st (was supposed to be on the 8:30) however the sea of humanity attempting to get to the Magic Kingdom along with me was unbelievable!!! So.. I arrived at the Magic Kingdom at 8:35... and the CM's were kind enough to put me onto the 9:00 am tour... apparently I wasn't the only one having trouble getting into MK.... My tour guide was Matt.. He was Really Great!!! Very informative and he REALLY LOVES his job!! As an AP holder I got a 15% Discount... and they do offer other discounts... Diamond Club AAA ..... Disney Visa... ask when you book what discounts are available. As for COlumbia Harbor House.. I had what had to be the best salad I have ever had at Disney... and it started me off on a healthy kick... anyplace I ate that I saw had the Zinfandel Viniagrette.. I got the salad... it was sooooo tasty... Do the tour.. you will enjoy it!!! I am going back in a few weeks..and I am trying to decide which tour to do this time.

DH and I took the tour last week. I have to say, neither one of us cared for it. Yes you do learn a little history but we did not get to see much with the floats. They are in an open side little parking structure. You only can stand in front of it and look in. I would be closer watching the parade. We went in the "tunnels" which were nothing more than hallways and you really didnt see anything but the map on the wall. We never saw any recycling place. You couldnt enjoy the rides because the tour person talked all the way through them. This is hard in the haunted mansion. We were the first group to use the new head phones, they were nice. You could hear without being so close to the tour person. The food was very good. But other than 5 hours of of being talked to non stop, I would have rather used it in the park. Maybe because our tour person was not very good. We grew tired of listening to her. Give it a try, I know some people in our group liked it but It just wasn't for me.
