Key West Excursions

For all of you who have just returned from the Western......which of the excursions in Key west would you recommend and which would you not! Is it possible to tour Key West independantly? If so, what should I see?!

This is relatively inexpensive, and gets you past all the highlights of the island, and only takes and hour and a half to do...

Hello Deb - first off it is best to go on your own - there is a lot to see and a lot to do in the short time you are there - the Conch Train is the best for learning about Key West history - it is about an hour and a half long and if you see something yu would like to go back to -do it on your own - Norm, my husband, son works at Moped Hospital on the corner of Truman and simonton Street which rents bike, moped etc - just ask for Charlie and tell him his stepdad told you to see him for your needs for wheels - there is a lot going on around mallory square also - most of all do not miss the sunset and the preformers there - if you are interested in gold,jewerly tee shirts etc go see vinny at Touch of Gold - I have pamplets here at the shop with things to see and things to do in Key West including coupons - if you would like one just write me and I will make sure you get one.

We took the Trolley Tour through Key West. It is about 1 hour and 20 min if you don't get off. It shows you all of Key West and if you want it allows you to get off at 8 or 9 different stops and then you can jump on another Trolley. It was inexpensive and we did it on our own once we got into Mallory Square. We did not book it through DCL. It is narrated so they will tell you what is at each stop if you feel like jumping off to tour or shop.
