Just wanted to know what your favorite excursions are on the Western Caribbean that are kid friendly. Our kids are 10 & 7. I have noticed several things that our 10 year old could do but, our daughter couldn't. Any suggestions would be great.

Thank you

I would love to see others suggestions as well, as we are cruising again in 40 days(YEA)but here is what we did last May with our 9 year old son....

In Key west we did the Conch Train/Trolley.. He hated it, I thought it was ok. Granted it was very very hot, so the Trolley was NOT comfortable.

In Grand Cayman we visited Stingray City. It was very rough, so again my son wasnt thrilled. The boat ride made him a little nervous & when we(I) started feeding the rays, they swarmed around us, rubbing against him. (I absolutely loved this & am very gald we went, but we will not do this again quite yet)

In Cozumel we did the Beach Break, which finally we ALL enjoyed. We did rent a jet ski which was extra, but my son loved it.

So far this year, we are considering renting a convertable in Key West & driving around & hitting the beach. Just walking around Grnd Cayman, he wants to participate in the HiddenMickey search which is around 1pm & then doing the Beach Break again.

Thanks,

We just did the Dune Buggy tour with Cozumel HOmes and it was a blast. Each Buggy sits 4 people and any age can go! (As long as you have a driver). IT would be great fun for a family! It was the best day of the cruise!

Key West really doesn't have much to offer children except the aquarium and the butterfly farm which both are really great - the conch train is hard on young children but for adults it is really interesting - it tells the real history of Key West and Key West does have awesome history - Norm and I will be going home in several more weeks for our class reunion and will be gathering up a bunch of new stuff to send everybody that wants it so if anyone is interested, just let me know.
The renting of a car in Key West is great tho remember the only place to rent a car is at the airport so plan on taking a cab there and also be aware that there is NO PLACE to park downtown without paying a huge bill - if you are planning to ride up the Keys, you will have a great time and can see the at least what Norm and I once lived in as far as a paradise - it is hard for anyone to imagine living off the mainland and always being surrounded with much beauty and tropical settings -
Anyhow wish you the best in Key West.
Always
Shirley

This sounds fantastic.. did you book through shoretrips, or on your own? Did you snorkle or hangout on the beach....if yes, for how long?

Was it really a 7 hour excursion?

Thanks,

Just back from the 7night Magic Western: the kids and I Parasailed with Fury in Key West. It was a blast! Now they are teens, but there were two children under the age of 10 that went after us that seemedto enjoy it also. We all went tandem so you could go with the kids. We did not book through Disney, but through Fury it was only $40.00 and was a great deal compared
to $70.00 on Castaway Cay.
