This is our first time staying onsite :dance3:

If we register a debit card against our room, I presume that we can just show our resort keycard and we can charge whatever to our room.

Do disney charge it there and then to the debit card or does it build up over the length of stay and then they charge us upon checkout? If they only charge at the end, it would be worth considering as only 1 charge by debit card company. If charge every time, not worth it.

Is there a maximum allowance of charges we can make to the keycard?

Just working out how much actual physical money/travellers cheques we will need as there's no need for a top up card as our debit card will act like one (its with nationwide who generally offer a good deal)

Hi, generally charged at end of trip unless you max it out, they do put a limit on it. You get the envelope of doom on your door on the morning you are checking out. We generally check about midway through how much is on there and then either pay off or leave it

You are given a 'credit' limit depending on the level of the resort:
Value - $500
Moderate - $1000
Deluxe/DVC - $1500

Your card is charged when you reach the limit or overnight before checkout.

They will either email you your statement or leave it on your door on checkout day. Personally I prefer the email as I actually check it and don't have to worry about the paper!

Thanks for the link to the Post Office Credit Card Wayne - worth applying for even if I only use it for the holiday and pay it all off straight away! :thumbsup2
