I think you were refering to the Wampa ice creature (from Hoth) if it was from Empire Strikes Back. Lukes fights this creature and after he escapes it...he learns about Yoda.

If you were meaning the creature from Return of the Jedi---Luke battles a Rancor at Jabba's palace.

www.starwars.com has a character guide available to confirm which creature.

"Sand people easily scare, but they'll soon be back, and in greater numbers"

GO SOX!!!

"I Just a soon Kiss a wookie!"

"I can arrange that!"

"He could use a good kiss!"

The monster he is referring to is the rancor from Return of the Jedi. Luke falls through the trap door in Jabba's palace and fights it to the end.

Is it just me or did John refer to "Return of the Jedi" as an "obscure Star Wars movie?"

ok...this is totally not my thing.

During the last Star Wars movie (and yes...I have seen tham all) I found that there were 378 accoustical tiles in the ceiling of the theater.

I consumed a big bucket of popcorn and a box of raisinets.

I menatlly redecorated the bedroom and I sent text messages to anyone that would answer.

I believe he referred to an "an obscure Star Wars character" whose name he couldnt come up with at the moment.

John is actually a Star Wars fan.....hence...my reason for sitting in a theater chowing down and counting ceiling tiles.:thumbsup2

Sorry, Kev...

I quote "So there's this obscure character from an obscure Star Wars movie..." 25:21 minutes in...

And yes, I am a nit picky, critical, over-analyzing geek, but I am a big fan of the podcast. :)

Then we should definitely dock his podcast pay.....

No, well, yes at the end, but he was also in the 1st one as a ghost wasn't he, or actually IV.....it's so confusing...........:lmao:

I distinctly remember thinking 'Alex Guiness is a ghost and he is sitting on a log'................

Ben Kenobi/Obi-Wan (Alec Guiness)--- after he became one with the Force in Star Wars: A New Hope (IV)... was just a voice for the rest of the movie. In Empire Strikes Back, he appears to Luke on Hoth in his ghostly form. Obi-wan was in spirit form in Return of the Jedi.

Empire Strikes Back

He was trying to convince Luke to complete his training with Yoda. He failed to do so and Luke goes off to try to save his friends who were in Cloud City/Bespin.

Return of the Jedi---
I think Obi-Wan might had been on the log when expalaining to Luke about his father from another point of view.

I guess I need to get the Dvds out later to confirm or wait until the house resident expert to come home from work.

Return of the Jedi at the very end during the Ewok celebration in the forest Obi-Wan, Darth Vader (as old Anakin, the way he looked when he died) and isn't there one more ghost there?

I know in the re-release it was changed to young Obi-Wan (Ewan MacGregor instead of Alec Guiness) I didn't like that.

Did they change Anakin to the young version in that re-release also?

Was there a 3rd ghost there?

A New Hope  .......that's the name of IV, I couldn't remember it and was too lazy to walk in and look at the DVD. :rotfl:

How about a couple of us pick numbers. ;)

19 days until :cake:

Now that's what I am talking about!

John has been a little stingy with the number picking since Pete left. Here is his chance to redeem himself. I will even vote for a podcast pay raise for him if I get to pick a number.

The 3rd ghost in the latest enhancement is Anakin Skywalker in his form before his path went Dark.
