BUT, your comments on today's show about the HGTV Christmas special were right on the money!! We couldn't stand the host either, and ended up not being able to make it through the whole show. I tried to watch it on mute, but even that wasn't good enough because I still had to see him and his faaaaaabulous tie! I'll watch just about anything filmed at WDW just to be able to see it (I have almost every TV show that taped an episode at WDW saved on my DVR, no matter how terrible. Even "Step-by-Step"!! :rotfl: ). So for me to not be able to make it through this says something about how bad it was. Which really sucks because there was such great behind the scenes footage. Now that I know what to expect, I'll have to try to go back and give it another shot.

I can't wait for the Guy Fieri special this weekend, though. I love him AND I love DL, so I'm sure this one won't disappoint! :lovestruc

I'm sooo glad I wasn't the only one who didn't like that host !!!
I was thinking I was getting old and crusty :lmao:

Thank goodness I thought it was just me. I kept switching channels. Also Was it just me or did they barely mention Epcot?

The guy who hosted has his own HGTV show but I just couldn't get into it.

I haven't seen the special yet, I am waiting for time when both my wife and I can sit down and watch it together, but I have seen him on his show Color Splash a couple of times and he comes off as a little concieted to me. He always includes a piece of his original art work in the in the renovations he does and I am not really that impressed.

With that said though he used to work for Disney as an illustrator so I imagine that is why they picked him to host it.

I was thinking the same thing. There are so many other HGTV hosts who would have been better.
