Kevin...Are You OK?

Did you have a crystalens put in, by any chance?

Did you have the "expensive" lens put in your first eye?

I'm just really curious.

One lens is a Re-Stor (right eye) and one is Re-Zoom (left eye).

I've not heard the word crystalens.

The expensive lenses went ib both eyes.

Glad you are doing better Kevin. As someone who's suffered from severe Astigmatism and near-sightedness my whole life I know what you mean. I have the "coke bottle" glasses to prove it. My wife says I look like Harry Cary when I put them on at night...

Anyway, here's to 20/20 vision for the rest of your life...:wizard:

The idea of our loveable fuzzball Kevin jumping rope just thrills me to no end..... :lmao: :rotfl:  :woohoo:

The visual images are going to bring a smile to my face for some time!

Here's to hoping you continue to get better. We need you in tip top shape for the TSM party extravaganza. :thumbsup2

Thank you, Kevin. Crystalens is the third kind of lens implant that gives both distance and near vision, along with the two you mentioned. (It also costs extra $$$ that insurance won't pay for.)

Still wishing you a smoother recovery from here on in.

Very Scary! I'm so glad that you are now on the road to recovery AND will have GREAT vision.
I've had astigmatism and near-sightedness most of my life and have seriously considered lasik surgery, but keep waiting to see long term (10-20 years) results from it.

Kevin - Sounds like you had lots of non-fun times. I'm glad things seems to be improving for you. I bet that was getting pretty scarry for a while. Here is hoping that things continue to improve. Best wishes from Alaska Dis'ers and I'll act suprised when I hear it on the podcast.

Glad things are improving and hope you can get back to jumping rope as qickly as possible!!!

Kevin

Does this also mean you get out of vacuuming, washing, ironing, cleaning and cooking??? They are all stressful and can be strenuous:thumbsup2

Glad to hear you're on the mend, Kevin. Sounds like quite an ordeal. :headache:

Take care of yourself!

Oh, you poor thing!! I'm so sorry you've been through such an ordeal. I'm glad you're improving.

And I'm very happy to see you still have your sense of humor :)

Awwww Kevin! Hopefully all is right and you are well on your way to healing and having great vision.

I guess Hopscotch is also out of the question for the next few weeks.

Take care Hon!

Poor ole you :sad1: It's not fair you have to put up with this, we're thinking of you and hoping things get better soon (but make the most of your recuperation time ;) )

You'll be skipping again before you know it :yay:

Yowzers!!! The entire ordeal sounds absolutely horrendous! I got the same email response after sending in an email but, like another person, I just assumed that your auto response was still on. Sorry to read that I was wrong. Glad to hear that you are on the mend and hopefully this will be it for a long, long, long time!!

Wishing you well Kevin. I hope your recovery continues to improve. All my best.

I too have Astigmatism and near-sightedness. Lets say with no contacts or glasses, I trip going down stairs. And in HS people thought I was a snob, but it was the fact that when I saw a person, they had no face!! :lmao: I made it until 18, then I needed daily glasses or contact lenses. It is a miracle I made it that long now that I look back.

Kevin,

Glad you are doing better. I had a teacher that had a detached retner. 2 surergies and she had to lay on the couch face down with her head hanging off the couch, for 3 weeks!! It started as appearing to look like "red eye" and was really a freaking thing. I always fear that now. I can see how getting that sick after surgery would mess up that eye. I am so glad they found and fixed it before it got worse!!

Now be a good boy and relax! Do as your told son!

So... what's good on TV these days? I know you have Tiva. so it must be empty by now right??

Kevin, feel better - I know that whenever I don't have my contacts in or my glasses on, not being able to see well is very frustrating. Anything to do with your vision can be scary, wishing you a speedy recovery.
So, no double dutch for a while???
