Keurig vs. Tassimo?

I know most of you are Keurig fans but I looked at the Tassimo last night and they are both basically the same price. The features I liked about the Tassimo was that it does cappuccino, latte, crema, and expresso too but the discs are expensive compared to the Keurigs. 8 discs were $6.00 for 8 and some of the special drinks take two.
BTW, there's only two of us and I do not drink straight coffee. Mostly the crema and latte.

I am still torn over which to get.

Oh my. If I had to pay that much for a cup of coffee at home they would have to perform CPR on me!

The price we pay for the Keurig coffee is about my limit. Good luck!

We have both. We have had the Tassimo longer and use that more. I love the cappuccino and the Keurig doesn't make anything like that. We buy most of ours at Target which has the best prices. 8 cappuccino's is less then $7.

DH likes the Keurig since we got the adapter to use any coffee but he prefers the Tassimo as well.

I've looked a both and bought the Tassimo, long story but I got it very cheap. I recently found a coffee distributor right around the corner from me( pays to look) that sells Keurig and Tassimo pods. The great thing is you can mix and match with both. They avg. around 7.99 for 24 of the Keuirg pods and have every flavor out there including the seasonal( eggnog mmmmmm) and the Tassimo are .50 cents more per package than WalMart( 5.49 for 16 Maxwell House) and they carry Starbucks for around 10.00 per pkg. I love my Tassimo though and use it everyday.

I own the Tassimo too. I'm a latte kind of girl and only drink starbucks. It saves me tons of money compaired to buying them at starbucks! LOL I used to easliy spend 35.00 or more a week on starbucks but now I'm down to 7.00 a week. I also don't use the milk that comes with the Starbucks latte, I use skim milk.It cuts down on the calories and fat counts too. I also bought the white chocolate sauce that starbucks uses, too.

Great idea! I would love to try this. Do you heat up the milk first?

I add some Hershey syrup to my lattes to make it a mocha. It works great.

No I don't heat th milk. I drink iced coffee but if I wanted to heat it up I'd just throw a cup in the microwave. LOL

Thank you, Thank you!!!! These are the answers I wanted. I love iced coffee which I do with expresso and the flavoring (no sugar) and ice in the blender, but I/we love a good hot cup of cappuccino/creama/latte in the morning now that it is so cold outside! How sad is that?
I hate coffee but when it gets cold around here? We buy so many cappuccinos at Speedway, we get at least 3 a week free. I was thinking it would be nice to fix them at home before we left for work. And I love the froth. And then I can do tea, hot chocolate in the same machine! Wouldn't that be great!
Thank you all again! Going shopping tomorrow! And with the other threads for prices, this shoud be a goooooood shopping day and DH is up for it. Heck, he's the coffee drinker in our family.
