Keurig coffee maker?

I got my DH one from Bed Bath & Beyond this September. It was marked down to $59 b/c it was a floor model (still had all the parts and nothing was wrong with it). You can sometimes find them when stores are rearranging displays or getting in new models. The one we got was normally $139. Good luck!

The number one complaint I have heard about Keurig's is that they are noisy. I know some hate these because of this.

It does make a noise when it gets ready to run the water through. But it certainly isn't enough to negate the benefits.

I am also picky about my coffee. The choices out there for K Cups are endless! I can tell you that the Keurig is hands down better than a regular coffee brewer for quality and better than a coffee shop for price. Most people aren't going to pay $400 for an espresso maker!

My Tassimo is much noisier than Keurig.. And my automatic drip coffee maker gurgles and hisses for much longer period of time than either the Keurig or Tassimo. :)

We LOVE ours! We got it last Christmas at Macys.... It was a STEAL! I think we paid just over $100.00 for it..... We get the coffee and tea from Bed, Bath & Beyond because you can use the 20% coupons on them!

That is why we bought the platinum version. Ours is very quiet!

Yes it is slightly noisey when the water fills to be heated. I have mine on a rubber waffle mat and that cuts it down quite a bit. Still a great machine.

the noise difference between my parent's platinum version and my "whatever my parents passed down to me" version is phenomenal. theirs hardly makes any noise and mine just about jumps off the counter if i don't put a towel under it (which cuts down on the noise a bit)! i still love my machine and i love the coffees available for it.

We love, love, LOVE our Keurig!!! Our favorite K-Cup is the Green Mountain Golden French Toast. It is seasonal and just amazing. The whole house smells like buttery french toast! I think we have gone through 7 or 8 coffee makers in the 13 years we have been married and so many mornings would come down in the morning to find our coffee pot filled with grounds or all over the counter if the pot was not placed on the burner in just the exact spot! No more!!! We love that it is a super hot and fresh cup every time. I am not a big flavored coffee fan (except the GFT!!) and my husband can make a cup of French Vanilla and I can make my Kona Blend and we do not have to make a whole pot!! It really is great!!!:goodvibes

I would like to buy a 2nd Keurig to keep in our Owners Locker at WDW because I can't be without it!!

That is a great thing to do, I am at Disney now and I miss my Keurig so much. Coffee just isn't the same without it. :confused3

We just LOVE that flavor, too! I will say that I really thought when I bought the Keurig that I was going to love all these different flavored coffees because the reviews on them sounded so great. I ordered all the "great ones": Timothy's German Chocolate Cake, Timothy's Cinnamon Pastry, and many others. Well, I found out that I don't like flavored coffees! I prefer a good dark plain coffee and if I want it flavored I add a little sugar-free syrup in whatever flavor I'm in the mood for. I have found the flavored coffees to be very bitter and the plain coffees to be much smoother. The exception to this was the Golden French Toast! I also like the Celestial Seasonings Mandarin Orange Spice Tea.

This might be a fun place for Keurig owners to post their favorite K-cups!

I'll start. My body can only handle one cup of "real" coffee a day, and first thing in the morning. DD13 and I love Timothy's Italian Blend and Coffee People's Donut shop coffee. And Tully's Kona blend.

The decafs out there are not great but I like Coffee People's French Roast Decaf.

I, too, prefer non-flavored coffees BUT that Golden French Toast really is good. I find I enjoy the flavored coffees more on the smallest cup setting. I usually go for the Extra Bold varieties- routinely get Tully's Kona Blend, Green Mountain's Dark Magic and their Fair Trade Sumatran. DH is enjoying the new Timothy's Kahlua coffee and we both like Coffee People Santa's Buzz and Gloria Jean's Holiday Tradition (a little chocolate fudge and caramel background).:surfweb:

We did get a 2nd Keurig to put in our Owner's Locker- I'm shipping it down to our resort.:) I so agree with others about how great it is to get whatever coffee you want with so little effort and cleanup. DH and I don't have to "give in" to what the other likes- we all win! Spoiled us quickly enough to know we don't want to stress over coffee while on vacation and just keep another Keurig in our OL.

I used to complain about the noise that they made too, but I have since found that the newer models like the B70 do not make the same terribly loud noise as the older models like the B40.

Well, you've all talked my into it. SO if anyone sees a good price let me know.

I checked online. BJs has the platnum(B70?) with 72 cups for $139 and Sams has the step down from that one (can't think of the name--B66?) + 72 cups for $129. I have a BJs membership, so if I can't find anything better, I'll probably go with that.

I love mine! My sister & I just purchased one for our parents for their birthday and my father in law had me pick one up for my mother in law for her birthday! I have been buying my kcups at coffeewiz.com! I may get the mini for our camper! Enjoy!

I bought one today at Costco!

Now I need to find some decaf k cups. I was disappointed that out of the whole 72 included only 1 cup was decaf. I used the my K for a cup of decaf this evening. Wish costco sold the decaf in store. Their prices seem pretty good!

Love my Keurig!

My favorite place to get K-cups is from Big Cat Coffees online as you can build your own "25 cup Purr-fect Packs" and you can mix-and-match 5 different varieties or flavors so you can try new ones without a big investment. We discovered just how yummy peach flavored coffee is this way... who knew peaches and coffee went together? :lmao: :thumbsup2

Wow! I never knew there was peach coffee!

I have wanted a Keurig for a long time. It will be my Christmas present from the cats. :goodvibes

I am going to wait for the one from QVC Todays Special Value Nov 29th!!!!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks so much ya'll, :surfweb:

You all made up my mind for me!!!! Platinum Keurig this weekend!
Thank you:cool1:

I wouldn't care if it sounded like a plane taking off, LOL
It tastes 1000% better than regular perked.

If you are new to Keurig (and k-cups) check out Tweed & Hickory, you can get a totally customized sampler with no limit on how many choices so its great for trying out new flavors and not spending a fortune. They have Timothy's , Van Houtte, Emiril's, Green Mountain, a tea (twining's?) and Gloria Jean's, and Caribou People. I don't think they have Donut Shop though.

Don't do the my k-cup; it seems like a good idea but the brewing style is different so the coffee is inferior. The hot water does not permeate the grounds adequately. However you can get a lid on ebay to use with your used kcups and it brews the same way as a regular k-cup.

For decaf, I really enjoy Timothy's Columbian Decaf. Amazon has good deals on the Timothy's flavors and you can subscribe and save. That will save you 15%
