Keurig coffee maker---question

I hate coffee. It's gross and nasty, IMO. (I love Kahlua, however, which is weird since it's a coffee-flavored liquor--Yeah, I know those views don't go together logically)

Anyway, DS loves coffee, so I thought I'd buy a Keurig to have around here for when he's over and wants a cup of coffee. I figure I could use it for tea or hot chocolate when he's not here.

So for my question: After making coffee, does the next cup of non-coffee have a residual coffee taste to it or would the coffee taste be completely non-existent? I don't think I could stomach tea that has even the slightest coffee taste to it.

I have a Keurig...just got it not too long ago and had to replace it already and having problems again (it shuts itself off when it is not supposed too...thank god they have wonderful customer service). When it does work right, I love it...

After brewing hot cocoa, they suggest brewing water only to clean it out...I am sure if you have the coffee taste after brewing coffee, you could have water brew through.

i hate coffee and wont drink tea out at most resturants, because they run the hot water through the coffee maker. And i have no problem drinking tea or cocoa made in a kerig

DH HATES coffee..even a hint of taste or the smell of coffee. He does tea in ours and never complains. The girls often do hot chocolate w/ just the hot water ran thru w/ no complaints of a coffee taste.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE MY KEURIG! I could marry my Keurig that's how much I love the thing. I make ice tea, hot chocolate, coffee. It's awesome. I've never noticed any residual flavors from the coffee.

We had the same problem. Returned it to Costco for exchange.

I do not find that the coffee taste carries to the next cup of what ever.

I never really liked coffee either but, when we bought the Keurig I started drinking it. Now i will have an occasional cup and actually enjoy it. I like the teas also. I always did like coffee ice cream though?!?

I despise coffee. Hate it. Dh loves it. I run a small cup of water between coffer & my stuff just to be sure however, I haven't noticed the coffee. Trust me, I would. We have separate coffee only cups because I can tell even after the dishwasher.

Thanks for the help. I'll just have to remember to run the water through before I use it just to make sure there is absolutely no coffee taste.

Also, if you do loose leaf teas, you could get a My K Cup which has an extra piece that temporarily replaces what would potentially have the coffee taste. I knwo that makes little to no sense, but I promise it does!

LOVE my keurig coffee maker!!!! I use it at least 3 or 4 times a day. I don't buy the hot chocolate in the k-cups...I just brew hot water out and then add my loose coco powder mix to hot water....my kids love it!
