I've had my single serve keurig for less than 1 year. I just threw it out. I'm done . Sometimes it works and when i'm really jonesin' for a quick cup of joe,it doesn't work! I've called the company(a few times) and they have told me,"there are indeed a few little kinks" to deal with. Nope. Not for me anymore. Way too frustrating. Buh-bye !!

Really? What doesn't work about it? What are the kinks?

We got a Keurig several weeks ago; haven't had any problems with it. I was super gung ho about it at first, and it is a handy little thing, but we prefer our Farberware percolator and the kind of coffee it makes. (And we're just not into flavored coffee...we've only found one Keurig coffee we like...Green Mountain Morning Blend, I think it is). DH leaves for work at 6:30, so the Keurig is handy because he can have his one cup; I'm not up at 6:30.

Me and my neighbor have both had problems with ours.

I love it..but it really is beginning to be a pain. Like you said...sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't. It will heat the water and ACT like it's going to brew, but nothing comes out...or it will brew too little for the chosen cup size or a few times...it never STOPPED brewing:scared1:(well...until I got my head together and turned it off)

My neighbor's stopped brewing all together.

We both registered them through Keurig. She has sent hers back twice now...the first time they said they repaired it, but it started having problems again...The second time, they sent her a new one.

I can't find my papperwork...or I would have sent mine back already.

If you registered it call them....they will have record...they replaced ours when we were having problems..

sad-seems like the quality has gone downhill maybe? We've had ours for 3 or 4 years and haven't had any issues (knock on wood).

If you brew hot chocolate, it sometimes gets clogged up. Look under the front part (where the water comes out), there's 3 li'l holes, stick a paper clip up in those 'n then run a cycle thru with just water (no cup) to see if it clears. And you probably could call Keurig for help regardless of paperwork, tell 'em it was a gift, you don't have any paperwork.

Its wicked handy------when it works! I don't like flavored coffee either,so the Dunkin Donut K-cups were perfect! Some of the "kinks" I tolerated were: constant clogging of the little spout that punctures the K-cups. Ok,i called the company and they told me to use a paperclip to unclog the spout. Then I shoud use a straw and stick it on the spout and blow air(seriously????) I paid $100 for a freekin' coffee maker and i have to do this????? And the final problem(company suggest I call an electrician for this one....I don't think so...) Sometimes i plug it in,I get coffee. sometime I plug it in,go through all the steps, I get nothing. So,its in the trash!! I'll use my percolator. Dependable for years and i get coffee EVERY TIME!!!!

ours does the same thing. We don't drink coffee, so we bought it for when my in-laws come over. It only works some of the time.

Sorry you apparently got a dud. I've had mine for 2 years, almost never clean it and use it every single day and it has never once not worked. :confused3

I agree with you on the payin' $100 for a damn coffee maker, it should work! :rotfl:

We had 2 of them replaced all because it failed within the years warranty. I was going to throw mine out but I was so mad that I called and told them I am very disappointed in the coffee pot and will not be buying another one. As it turned out it was under warranty and she sent me another one!

Nope...no hot chocolate...And I descale it often since the water around here is pretty hard....I hear a lot of people have issues with this model.....DO NOT ask me which one, I'll have to look it up.;)

$100 for a coffee maker, damn thing oughta work.

We've got two, ya know combined households, one of 'em better work when I want coffee, it's not a pretty sight when I want my coffee. :lmao:

Sad to hear a lot of people with recent Keurig problems. We are now headed into our 3rd year with ours, and have never even had to do the paperclip trick on it, nor have we ever had to descale it.

I'm wondering if their popularity caused them to start pumping them out at a rate that caused them to sacrifice a bit of quality. Sad that so many things end up that way.

I've had mine for 4 years and I make at least 4 cups of coffee every day and it's still working fine.

To the person who said they don't like the flavors of the K-Cups. You can use your own coffee in http://www.keurig.com/accessories/my-k-cup

There are hundreds of K-cups available. It took me awhile to find the ones I prefer.

I HATE the My K Cup thing...Maybe I use it wrong...but water gets everywhere as it is brewing into my cup:confused3.

A friend of mine just returned theirs to BedBath and Beyond without a receipt and they gave him store credit. This was the second time he had to return it, so he went with a different brand this time. But before you throw it out, try returning it, even without a reciept. Can't hurt to try.

I have had mine for 3 years without any problems. We make 2-3 cups of coffee a day. I honestly love that thing more than any other appliance. We bought one for MIL and hers broke within a year so maybe the newer ones are not made as well. However, they did replace it right away for her with just one phone call so I thought that was pretty good. I'm actually drinking a cup of Nantucket Blend at the moment.

I have had mine for two years now. I use it everyday; however, it is very frustrating. I will turn it on, and then it will automatically shut off. I have to turn it on several times before it will make my cup of coffee. It has been doing this for over a year now. I will not be buying a new one when this one quits working all together.

I've also had constant problems with mine. I don't even bother using it everyday anymore. I just put it out when we have a lot of company. It was given to me as a gift, otherwise I would have been more inclined to return it if I had spent my own money on it.
