hey i didn't think anyone would even get that(and not because anyone's stupid, because my sarcasm is hard to pick up on sometimes).

it was a joke

Iraq did not have anything to do with the terrorist attacks that happened on 9/11. he used 9/11 to get us into his father's war.

Nice change of pace there. First Iraq has nothing to do with terrorism, then Iraq has nothing to do with 9/11.

Nice flip-flop.

Isn't it possible to support terrorism, and still have no DIRECT involvement in 9/11?

But that really isn't the issue. You hate the military....

peer pressure can be a GOOD thing

BTW, I received this from my brother today the title was " a soldiers response to John Kerry"

I would have respected the apology more if he had just said I am sorry, and not blame others for his mistake.
Exactly, a simple "I'm sorry, it was a poor choice of words" would have made him look sooo much better. But the pressure from Hillary Clinton then the pointing fingers makes him look even worse (if thats possible). And amazingly enough, the words are uttered from his lip and still, somehow manage to be the fault of President Bush and all Republicans. Amazing, truely amazing. Or should that be brilliant? :goodvibes

Typical flip-flop nonsense from Kerry. He goes one way then decides to go the other way. Yesterday he refused to apologize, now he feels bad for what he said.

"I voted for it, before I voted against it."

Yep, this exactly why I did not want Kerry to apolgize, because admitting one is wrong is seen as weakness by the repugs.

the terrorism that HAPPENED on 9/11 was Bush's excuse to go into Iraq. they didn't do anything to us. Afganistan(and i apologize if i spelled it wrong) was the country that attacked us. why aren't we there? why are we even in Iraq?

and if you actually paid attention instead of just picking apart things you don't like about my posts, i said that i do like the military, i just don't like what they're doing in Iraq. pay attention.

well i think Bush's camp is having a wonderful time with all of this, don't you? you think they wouldn't exploit it? that's what politicians do.

Then you need to get together with Cary and you both need to fire your joke writers. Not very funny from over here. :guilty:

:lmao:

I shouldn't even respond to this nonsense. Please read up on current events before posting.

At least this was not like Rush Limbaugh's so called apology. You know where he says "I am sorry IF", you are sorry or you are not there is no IF.

Kerry is done, but it is interesting that some that defended RUSH's apology now claim this not sincere and not a "true apology."

i need to fire my joke writers?? if my joke was bad, that one was worse.

everyone on this end thought it was funny. as a joke. like those military guys with the sign. they knew it was only a joke, so they poked fun at it.

you see how people can get when the wrong thing is said? honestly, who cares what i said? you don't know me in real life, so why should it bother you what i think??

It's clearly not a true apology. When confronted with the issue shortly after making the disgusting remarks, he said that he would not be apologizing.

After the reflection of over 24 hours, and a chance to see the devastating effect his comments have had, he's trying to stop the political bleeding.

I think the public sees very clearly that this is a hollow apology and that Kerry was pressured i nto making it. He meant what he said, sad but true.

absolutely. he was obviously brought kicking and screaming to it. if he really meant it, it would have been done immediately.

Again, please explain what Rush Limbaugh has to do with the comments John Kerry made?

i thought it was pretty obvious what i meant......are you in the military?? maybe that's why you didn't get it. :rolleyes1

You and Kerry should consider touring together....

Talk about a complete lack of intelligence.

Didnt you defend RUSH's "I am sorry IF" apology????

I agree that I will never look at Kerry the same again, just trying to clear up why you would feel one is more sincere than the other.

Just out of curiosity, what - according to his fiercest critics here - can Kerry do to remedy this situation?

You really can't make this stuff up. Unbelieveable.

You didn't do it correctly. You had part of the famous "left wing response" to anybody that doesn't think the way of the collective. You meesed up on the unbelieveable part though. The great ones on the LT don't use that.

Just look to the liberal thread to see how it's done properly and make sure you study the work of some of the "masters" over there. You have to add the proper "smilies" that convey the message that only you and people like you are the masters of truth and intelligence. Your intent must be to make that offending poster feel stupid and his opinion worthless. Here's how it's done and I'll give you an example below.

Disneyfan67: I think that the current President is a decent man and there's no real proof that he went into Iraq for oil or to enrich Haliburton.

Leftwing poster: I see another rightie is drinking his koolaid!

You just can't make this stuff up! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl:

That's pretty close to how it's done but you really need to feel snarky and mean at the time when you do it. You can mix it up a little and throw in a few more jabs, but don't over due it and lose the affect of the original tag line.

I hope I was able to help and be sure to check out the Liberal thread or any of the political threads. You might have better luck on the LT because most political threads get locked after 10 pages of insults. Good luck and good insulting! :thumbsup2

I'm gonna make my good deed for today backing away from you and this thread. Sometime the smart thing to do is walk away. :wizard:

This thread is not about the comments, this thread is about his apology and reactions to it.

I was comparing the two and reaction to both.

Prob????
