KeraStraight at Ulta

Anyone here ever have the KeraStraight treatment done at Ulta? I have previously had two other brand treatments. I really like my Simply Smooth but it costs 250.00. The KeraStraight at Ulta is only 169.00.

I'd love to hear any pros or cons of it.

Do you usually go to ULTA salon ? Like, is it your reg place ?

I've only had 1 service done there. It was when they did the free Fekkai day, and even though it was free, I've never been back, if that tells you anything

On the other hand, that seems like a great price. I'd love a treatment myself. I'd just call and see what method they use and see if they will tell you how long it could last up to. As you know, different methods have different times they could last up to.

I wouldn't let Ulta groom my dog!!! I have heard countless nightmares coming out of Ulta. I also personally don't like their business practices. Bait and switch. Useless coupons and discount offers, etc.

No, I've never gone to Ulta. I go to a private salon. My hairdresser doesn't have an interest in Keritan treatments. I did go to Ulta about 4 years ago when they were having free "lessons" with certain products. I did have a very experience then. No pushing for products or services.

I am sure that you can have bad experiences at any chain stores or private salons. In fact, my very first treatment a couple of years ago was a HUGE disaster at a private salon. I had to fight to get it done a second time. Now that I'm thinkig about it, it was just plain stupid for me to go back to her, LOL. Could have been an even bigger disaster. I just don't know about the product itself.

Not sure if anyone is interested but I had it done exactly a week ago. This is by far my favorite treatment. My hair is unbelievable silky, smooth and straight. I HIGHLY recommend Ulta. I didn't have to wait the three days to wash it even. LOVE it and I will definitely go back to Ulta and not a private salon.

What bait and switch? I go to Ulta to get my hair cut and colored. I see the same gal every time and have always gotten great results. If I see an advertised special like 20% off a service that is what they give me. And my stylist often recommends products to try but there is never any pressure to buy. Yet every single time I go I always get something new.

My son's gf had it done and then she came to WDW for two weeks with us. I really do not know why she did it because she wore her hair in a bun on top of her head most of the time. For her I think it was kind of a waste. I have never had services done at ULTA but IMHO it is like any other salon it depends on the stylist.

I know there are problems with the coupons etc but the best way to deal with that is to fill in a customer survey and/write a letter. I know for a fact that the stores live and die by the amount and quality of customer surveys.

I agree that it all depends on the stylist and not so much the store/salon. I had a huge disaster at a private salon, a so-so one at another and a perfect one at Ulta. All three were different products. I think the girl at Ulta had much more experience than at the private salons.
