I got her a few things for the trip. Nothing major, gel pens, activity books, etc. She's having a blast opening the bags from the store.

Shayla's the same way. I bought some candy yesterday and while I was cleaning up everything else, she had gotten to the bag, and came by me and said oooohhhhh. It doesn't take much to make the little ones happy.

:D

I hope she has fun. How are you with the decision to let her go?

the girl gets excited over a pen, you got her trained well :p

Well, gel pens, activity books, and a new portable cd player. She's trained well, but she's not that easy. lol

I'm not ok with her going. But it's my problem, not hers. It's being over protective, over emotional, etc. But she's not going to know. She's going off on a nice trip with grandparents and I will not lay my being emotional on her.

I'll just be a mess after she leaves.

Pssst..... Laurie,
I don't think you are any of those and I would feel the same way, too!::yes::

My 16 yr. old is somewhere between here and Iowa on a bus after spending 7 days at Iowa State University at NOAC.

My 18.5 yr. old is in Nags Head, NC with her BF's family.

Believe me, I've experienced everything you've described above!! :( ;)
