If you are using the Gif file I did for you, there is no background on the image, but I am not to fimiliar with dark transers as to how they print gifs. Matter of fact I have never used dark transfers before, so I am not sure if the dark transfers will put a white background or not, but I do know that the original image has no background so with the white transfers it would be clear. My best advise to you is to post a request on the main board regarding dark transers and GIF files if they print with white background. I don't want you to risk it because I am not positive. I received a PM from M_I_C_K_E_Y and she is the expert on transfers of all kinds and she said I got mixed up with my advise about dark transfers so maybe consult with her first.
"If you use a light transfer, the background and any white in the design is clear (the shirt color) and if you use a dark transfer the background and all white in the design are white." is what she sent me. But I don't know how this relates to GIF files so maybe we should get clairification first.

It does help. I went ahead and just printed them out with the black background and put them on black shirts. I thought that was the safest bet. I had cut a little flower out of one of the gif files and just tested it on the inside of the shirt and it did not come out right.

They are pretty much the same thing I found, but the only problem is they don't fill the letters will the size of the image and how it is more vertical than horizontal things like that, but I really really really appreciate the help! It was extremely kind of you to post all of those links!

Just letting you know that I did what you said about inserting it into a word document and making it the size I wanted. Worked perfectly. This will actually help with a lot of my designs for my petite little 4 year old. Not to mention how I'm going to be able to stretch my dollar on the transfer sheets.

It does help, I know practically nothing about dark transfer paper cuz I always use light transfers. I just disign I never think about the lojistics of ironing them on. I get carried away with the fun of disigning!

Don't worry I haven't forgotten, I am working on it, I just have to try and keep everyone happy and do the requests how they come and sometimes people need things quickly and I get a lot of PM's for disigns from this thread and my other so I have to try and split my time!

I am going to need something to keep me busy Friday Morning- (I am off this whole weekend for Darrin's Birthday & My DH & I will be 18 yrs married Monday so we are celebrating this weekend as well) I have a few things left to pick up for the party, picking up drycleaning and running errands before kids get home from school, gettin' hair done Friday late afternoon, but between now & Friday morning I am about done printing until I get more transfers- (& I am waiting on my order from Amy- should be here soon) So.... I am, I truly am patient! But I Loooove that you had time to put these together! LOL They look wonderful! I just "happened to be browsing" and saw that you had stopped in your thread... LOL Just thought I'd throw it up there since I was posting anyway! LOL Really, I know that you know how much we appreciate your hard work! & Wow! Do you work as much as I do, Kelly? I have to be in most days between 8 & 9 a.m. and I don't get off until, again, most days between 9 & 11 regularly but could be even after Midnight & 3 am at times- (It has happened) - We are closed on Sundays and I usually get one other day off through the week and that is usually a set day unless we (my partner & I) switch days w/ each other or request certain days (as I have done this week)- It is just the two of us who take care of the entire place and we are able to take over tasks for other managers as well so we are multipurpose so to speak and a rare commodity- can be nice on one end but on the other they depend on us so much we rarely get time off.

Wow! OT but just to post length of time...
I did browse a bit w/ my coffee this morning since I am off today (a luxury) before I started on Darrin's shirt-
Took debb's advice who took it from Kelly to use Word to resize images-
It does work! I am not as versed in the new options and set ups that are used now though- As computer savvy as I am - I just haven't had to use these programs for pics in so very long I am behind the times- LOL- I just got done printing and actually went ahead and used the only 5 transfers I had right now to print a few more of your Disigns since I had figured it out! Only problem- I, too, want to maximize the amount of transfer I was able to use so as not to waste much- They are expensive to a point- Depending on how much "border" was around the pic depended on if it would fit on one page or not- I wish I could move some things over because I could have literally fit a few more in the blank spaces- LOL If anyone knows how to move around and fit designs closer together- i.e. get rid of "space" around design so another can be edged into some more of the page, I would appreciate it!
Kelly, not hijacking here on an OT subject but I felt it was somewhat relevant to our printing problems! Wait until you see the Kingdom Hearts one you did for me! It is amazing! I got it sized to almost be an entire 8 1/2 X 11 - My big boys will be amazed! Thx again! I am off to start ironing and then I better get to my errands and hair appointment but I promise to post a pic for ya's!
