OMGosh, is that really him? What movie was this for? He looks scary![]()
Yes, that's really him. I think he's playing a man that is dying of AIDS.

Not only would people call you out, you most likely be called a troll, reported to a moderator and probably receive points for the audacity.
It's a real double standard for sure. People on this thread are saying she appears to have an eating disorder and an unhealthy obsession. Um, does Melissa McCarthy and millions and millions of citizens not have an unhealthy obsession with food? Look at all of the obese people with eating disorders. Why are they a protected class but not the "too" skinny people?
Yes, that's really him. I think he's playing a man that is dying of AIDS.
As an overweight person I absolutely have an unhealthy relationship with food- I eat my feelings and have ever since I can remember.
Being overweight certainly is not a "protected class". People who are overweight are discriminated against every day and they are NOT protected by law.
So is it ok to slag people that are over or underweight? Is it ok to make fun of Kelly Ripa AND Melissa McCarthy or just the perceived underweight woman?
The problem is that here on the Dis one is lauded and the other is slammed.
BTW I personally would rather be 10 or 20 pounds underweight than 80 or more pounds overweight but that is a personal choice. I don't discrimintate based on a persons weight. I know plenty of skinny and fat b$#@!es.
I would absolutely rather be underweight as well..... because it is more socially acceptable....
I don't watch the show- but if Kelly does indeed talk about needing to wear spanx and how she needs to lose weight, she has some body issues. That would be like Melissa McCarthy talking about how she just can't put on any weight and she really would like to be 10 or 20 pounds heavier.
And I'm not sure why you assume I think it's okay to "slag" anyone... I'm not even sure what "Slag" means.... unless we're smelting ore...
The difference might be that Kelly is dilusional about her weight while Melissa knows she's fat.
Saying Melissa is fat is obvious. Saying that Kelly is too skinny while she moans about having to lose weight is a fair comment.
Both Kelly Ripa and Melissa McCarthy have disordered eating. However, I don't see Melissa McCarthy in a bathing suit on a magazine cover having her figure celebrated.
I guess that's the difference.
Well here in Canada "slag" is a widely used word. It means to criticize harshly. Sorry you don't know that there are other meanings for the word.
Also, I really haven't seen any evidence that Kelly Ripa talks about needing to lose weight.
And why do I feel as though you just "slagged" me?
He is playing a man who was terribly sick and dying of AIDS ... and looks it.He lost all that weight for a role he is playing.

Movie is called "Dallas Buyers Club"
Better yet.. why does anyone care...?
I mean it.. Why do you care what someone on TV weighs? There is NOTHING else in your life that you care about something so stupid as that..
Big, small etc, who really cares.. How does it impact you, sitting at home?
Does not...

Actually, I have not seen anyone on this thread be insulting to Kelly Ripa regarding her appearance.
That girl is too thin! You can just about see through her.
. I hate how boney her upper chest is
she really is too thin. Makes it seem like she has a huge head.
I call that the Lollipop syndrome. I see many women get so thin that they look like a lollipop.
She no longer looks healthy.
